"I hate him so much!" Kyujin cried out as she sprawled over Ellie's bed, angry tears streaming down her reddened cheeks. It had been a week since their school trip, and it was a officially the day after Kyujin's and Sunoo's break up. "I never want to see him again."

"Why did you guys even break up?" Ellie wondered, sitting on the edge of the bed to try and comfort her friend. Kyujin sat up and brushed her hair out of her face, tears and snot being wiped across her cheeks.

She let out a huff and crossed her arms over her chest. "He said that I'm naggy and control him too much!" She whined (Ellie wanting to laugh and agree with Sunoo) "I'm not controlling or naggy, am I?" She desperately asked and latched onto Ellie's arm.

"No.. no, no, you're not." Ellie lied, not knowing what else to say to the girl and not wanting to deepen the situation. "Have you tried talking to him?" She asked, removing her arm from the olders grip.

Kyujin frantically shook her head and let out yet another cry. "He won't pick up my calls and when he does he just tells me that he needs space and that I should focus on something else for a while." She stated and laid back on Ellie's bed, staring up at the white ceiling.

"Do you want me to call Jungwon, I can ask-" Ellie began to suggest but was instantly cut off by Kyujin.

"No! I don't want you talking to Jungwon either, he's just like Sunoo - both of them are liars and fools." She angrily remarked and tutted at the thought of the two best friends.

Ellie felt her words pang against her heart, don't speak to Jungwon anymore? "How about we go shopping?" She suggested, hoping to calm down the frantic girl.

Ellie and Kyujin are sat beside one another in the cafeteria two days after the big break up. The space around them is quiet and awkward, and Ellie wanted to do nothing more than to pick up her tray and join the table in front of her - the table that Jungwon was sat at.

Ellie picked her eyes up from her tray, only to catch Jungwon already looking at her with saddened eyes. Sunoo seemed to be talking to him about something, but due to his back being turned away from Ellie, he didn't know that the boy in front of him was staring at the girl sat at the table behind theirs.

It had been a few days since the last time Ellie and Jungwon had spoken and to say that they were feeling empty and incomplete was an understatement.

The red haired girl lifted her hand up, wanting to wave at the brunette male - but only got her hand forced down by Kyujin. "I told you not to speak to him anymore." She gritted through her teeth as she loaded broccoli into her mouth, using her metal chopsticks.

"Sorry.." Ellie mumbled with a gutted expression, giving Jungwon a guilty and sorry smile before looking back down at her tray - forcing her eyes to stay down.

"Okay, everyone get into partners." The science teacher ordered making the classroom reshuffle into the new seats. Ellie felt a slight tap on her shoulder causing her to turn around and see Jungwon.

"Do you want to be partners?" He asked, used to them doing the science projects together ever since Kyujin and Sunoo began dating.

"No. She's with me." Kyujin cut in and grabbed onto Ellie's wrist. "You can go with Sunoo." She barked and gave the dark haired boy sitting beside Jungwon a disgusted look.

Jungwon nodded and looked into Ellie's eyes, both of them wearing the same gutted pout and deflated expressions. This wasn't something either of them wanted to get use to.

For the rest of the lesson, Ellie had to listen to Kyujin's rants and raves about the new thing that was annoying her or some boy she found cute in the hallway.

And Jungwon wasn't having much fun either. Although he was partnered up with Sunoo, something was different. He didn't feel the exciting butterflies in his stomach that he felt when he was partnered up with Ellie, and he definitely wasn't trying to touch Sunoo's hand or help him in the ways he tried to help Ellie.

Who would've thought that the break up of their two best friends would ruin their lives more than it as them.

"How have you been sleeping?" Seollee, the therapist questioned, tapping her pen continuously on her knee. "I noticed that your under eye bags have returned." She pointed out with a soft comforting tone.

Ellie nodded and stared down at her lap. "I haven't been sleeping too well." She admitted. "Kyujin has been stressing me out recently and it's just making me dread school." She said with sigh and dropped her head once again.

"What made you want to go to school before?" Seollee wondered, "what made you not dread school?" She added onto the previous question, her tone inviting Ellie to open up.

The teenage girl let out a small breathy laugh and shook her head. "Jungwon did." She stated, only now realising it herself.

"And where is he now?" Her therapist prodded, making Ellie look at her
with saddened eyes and let out
a small tut. Ellie shifted in her seat and pulled the creases out of her jeans.

"I haven't spoken to him for a few days.." she began and cleared her throat. "Sunoo and Kyujin broke up, so there isn't much time for us to hang out." She explained and tucked her hair behind her ears.

Seollee shrugged and looked at the younger girl with soft eyes. "Is Jungwon makes you happy and makes you sleep better at night, why let two people get in the way with that?" She questioned. "Then breaking up shouldn't put a stop to your friendship, not if it's this special."

Ellie nodded and took in everything she was being told, a weight being lifted off her shoulders. "You've got something good, don't let people get in the way of that." Seollee encouraged, "you laughed and smiled for the first time in one of our sessions and I was taken back by how beautiful you looked when your face lit up, but that wasn't down to me - that was his doing." She pointed out.

"He makes you happy, don't throw that away."
