The next day dawned bright and early in Hopper's cabin, the promise of a new day hanging in the air. Max lay asleep in her and Lucas's room, the events of the previous day still fresh in her mind as she slept peacefully.Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Eleven, and Will had decided to take on the challenge of cooking breakfast.

The boys were a chaotic mess of pots and pans, ingredients scattered haphazardly across the counters as they attempted to whip up a meal. But their culinary skills left much to be desired, and before long, a small fire had started on the stovetop, sending plumes of smoke billowing into the room."Guys, guys, we need to put out the fire!" Mike shouted, panic evident in his voice as he grabbed a nearby dish towel to smother the flames.

"No, no, water will only make it worse! We need to cover it with a lid," Lucas argued, reaching for a pot lid to snuff out the fire.Dustin and Will joined in the fray, adding their own suggestions and attempts to extinguish the growing blaze. Eleven watched the chaos unfold with a twinkle in her eye, finding amusement in her friends' antics. As the arguing continued and the fire threatened to spread, Max stirred in her sleep, the rising voices pulling her from her dreams. She opened her eyes slowly, confusion clouding her mind as she tried to make sense of the commotion.Curious, she got up and made her way to the kitchen, her eyes widening in shock at the scene before her. Smoke filled the room, the boys were arguing, and the fire was steadily growing in size.

Just then, Hopper entered the kitchen, his eyes narrowing as he took in the chaotic scene before him. "What in the hell is going on here?" he boomed, his voice stern and disapproving. The boys fell silent, shame evident on their faces as they realized the gravity of their mistake. Hopper's gaze swept over them, his disappointment palpable as he spoke in a tone that brooked no argument."Listen up, you kids. Cooking is one thing, but safety always comes first. You need to think before you act, and work together instead of arguing like fools. This," he gestured to the now smoldering stove, "could have ended a lot worse than just burnt toast."Mike, Lucas, Max, Eleven, and Will hung their heads, chagrined at their lack of judgment and cooperation. Hopper's words resonated with each of them, a reminder that their actions had consequences and that they needed to be more responsible.

As they cleaned up the mess and Hopper helped them salvage what was left of breakfast, the kids reflected on their mistake. They knew that they had learned a valuable lesson that day, one that they would not soon forget. And as they sat down to a simple meal in the peaceful aftermath, they knew that their bond as friends had only grown stronger through adversity.
