Chapter 14: pool fun

One day, they were all hanging out at Hopper's cabin. Mike, Dustin, Eleven, Will, Joyce, and Hopper were all there, along with Max and Lucas. Things were going smoothly until Lucas's little sister Erica barged in.

"Lucas, you better not be hogging all the waffles again!" Erica exclaimed, arms crossed.

Max couldn't help but chuckle at the sibling dynamic between Lucas and Erica. Lucas, not one to back down from a challenge, started tickling Max to distract her from Erica's accusation. Max couldn't stop laughing, and before she knew it, they were sharing a kiss.

"Ew! Get a room, nerds!" Erica yelled, making everyone turn their heads.

"Erica!" Lucas, Dustin, Mike, Eleven, and Will all yelled in unison, chasing after the sassy little sister.

Hopper, not one to tolerate chaos in his cabin, bellowed, "Alright, all of you! Shut up and go to Steve's house! Besides, he's supposed to babysit you all today."

So, the gang made their way to Steve's house, where they found the lovable babysitter by the pool. Without missing a beat, Steve tossed Dustin and Lucas into the water, causing laughter and chaos to ensue.

Meanwhile, Max was inside the house, still giggling at the shenanigans. Lucas, all wet and grinning, walked in and before he could say a word, Max pulled him into a kiss.

As they shared a sweet moment, the group outside continued their antics, echoing with laughter and joy. In that moment, everything felt right in Hawkins, and the future seemed brighter than ever before.
