The music poured out of Jonathan's car stereo, filling the vehicle with pulsating beats and electrifying energy. Lucas drummed his fingers on the dashboard, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Man, this song never gets old!" he exclaimed, earning a nod of agreement from Dustin.

Max, seated in the back, couldn't help but smile at her boyfriend's' enthusiasm. As she listened to the familiar tune, memories from before her coma flooded back – the late nights spent laughing and bonding, the thrilling adventures they had embarked on together. But the thought of the year she had missed still lingered in her mind, a void in the midst of cherished recollections.

The music pulsated through the car, the beat matching the rhythm of Max's heart as she sat next to Lucas, her hand intertwined with his. They shared a knowing look, a silent exchange of love that needed no words.

As Lucas drummed along to the song, Max couldn't help but be grateful for his unwavering support through her coma and recovery. He had been her rock, by her side every step of the way, never faltering in his devotion.

Mike, noticing the exchanged glances between Max and Lucas, grinned. "You two are disgustingly cute together, you know that?" he teased, earning a playful swat on the arm from Dustin.

Max rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress the smile that tugged at her lips. "Shut up, Wheeler," she retorted, her tone teasing.

Lucas leaned in closer, his voice a soft murmur meant for only her ears. "I love you, Max," he whispered, his eyes filled with affection.

Max felt a warmth spread through her chest, a surge of love and gratitude for the boy who had captured her heart. "I love you too, Lucas," she replied, her voice filled with emotion.

The car fell into a comfortable silence, the music serving as a backdrop to the shared moments of connection and love. Max leaned her head on Lucas's shoulder, reveling in the feeling of being wrapped in his arms, safe and secure.

Jonathan stole a glance at the couple through the rearview mirror, a smile playing on his lips. "You two make a cute pair," he remarked, his voice filled with fondness.

As the car continued on its journey, Max closed her eyes and allowed herself to bask in the glow of love and friendship that surrounded her. With Lucas by her side, and her friends beside her, she knew that she was exactly where she belonged – cherished and loved, a part of something truly special.
