Max and Lucas find themselves back at Hopper's cabin, the warm embrace of familiarity surrounding them. As they settled into the cozy cabin, their shared moments becoming more intimate, their bond strengthened with each passing day.

In a quiet corner of the cabin, Max and Lucas found themselves lost in a passionate kiss, the world around them fading into the background. Just as their lips met, the sound of footsteps approaching caught their attention. Erica sauntered into the room, her mischievous grin spreading from ear to ear.

"Get a room, nerds!" Erica teased, a playful glint in her eye as she wagged her finger at them.

Max and Lucas couldn't help but roll their eyes, their hands flying up to flash Erica the middle finger in retaliation. Erica's grin widened as she returned the gesture, her laughter filling the room.

"Oh, come on, you two! Can't you find a more private spot?" Erica playfully scolded, her eyes twinkling with amusement.

Lucas chuckled, replying, "We're just enjoying our time together, sis. No need to be such a party pooper."

"Party pooper? Is that what you're calling me?" Erica retorted, feigning offense. "I'll have you know I'm the life of the party!"

Just as their conversation continued, a colorful word slipped from Erica's lips. Lucas's voice boomed through the room, loud and firm, as he reprimanded her. "Erica!"

"Oops, my bad," Erica said, trying to hide her grin. "I guess I got a little carried away."

A playful smirk spread across Erica's face as she realized she had pushed the boundaries a bit too far. With a determined stride, she took off running, her 12-year-old spirit fueling her escape. Lucas gave chase, his footsteps echoing through the cabin.

"Come back here, you little brat!" Lucas called out, a mix of amusement and annoyance in his voice.

Erica giggled, replying over her shoulder, "You can't catch me!"

An hour later, as the commotion settled down, Max and Lucas found themselves in their room in the cabin, the soft glow of lamplight casting a warm aura around them. They leaned in for a tender kiss, their love speaking volumes in the silence between them.

"You know, I love spending time with you here," Max whispered, her eyes sparkling with affection.

Lucas smiled, replying, "And I love spending time with you too, Max. This place feels like our own little sanctuary."

Whispers of each other's names hung in the air, a sweet melody that resonated in their hearts. Exhaustion crept over them, their eyes drooping with the weight of the day's events. And as sleep claimed them, Max found herself resting her head on Lucas's chest, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat lulling her into a peaceful slumber. In each other's arms, they found solace and comfort, their love a fortress against the trials that lay ahead.

As they drifted off to sleep, Lucas whispered, "I love you, Max."

Max smiled gently, her voice barely audible as she replied, "I love you too, Lucas."
