Hi (insert Mrs. teachers name), this message is probably unexpected but i really would just like to say thank you for your encouragement last year, it has been greatly appreciated.
I'd just like you to know that even though I no longer attend (insert school name) my time spent with you in art lessons, painting around school, or even just chatting in the courtyard have been some of my fondest memories of (insert school name).
so, that being said, I once again thank you for being my teacher
