It was morning. We got up right before sunrise to get a head start on the hike. We were slowly making progress towards the mountain. Taylor kept complaining.

"Why is it taking so long?"

"Are we almost there ?"

We traveled for almost three days. We were all exhausted. Ben was getting better and he was able to move faster. Then the hardest part began. The climb up the mountain.

The mountains were very steep and it took a long time to climb. Taylor was scared of heights so this was hard for her. Ben had a hard time too. The sun was beginning to fall so we decided to rest for the night in a small cave.

William set up a campfire and we all gathered around the fire. We talked and ate soup. It was a pretty peaceful night.

Taylor seemed to be getting closer to Ben every day. They were talking for hours next to the campfire.

After two long days of hiking we finally made it to the top of the mountain, There was a little house

William led them to the entrance. They entered the door. Inside the cottage there was a couch and fireplace. An old man was sitting in a rocking chair. He had a long beard with hair as white as snow.

"Hello young children. Are you ready for your training? ", said the old man.

"Who are you?", said Rachel.

"Rachel, I am your grandfather."

"What the f---"

"Rachel language", siad William

"My mother said that you died fighting the Russians"

"I barely managed to make it out alive. I almost died, I had this secret FAR base built so I could stay safe".

I was thinking of all the stories my Father used to tell her about her grandfather. She thought about how small this base was.

She said,"this base is kinda small".

"Follow me young ones", said Grandfather

We all followed my Grandpa. He moved slowly. He led us into another room. It looked like a little library, each wall was lined with bookshelves. He moved to a random shelf and pulled the book. The bookshelf opened like a door unlocked. We walked through the door. There was a long passage to who knows where.

We walked forever; it felt like a maze.

"Are we there yet?", asked Taylor

"Almost young child", responded Grandpa.

Finally after a long walk we found a door. Grandpa placed his finger on the door and it opened.

Once it opened it looked like a real FAR base. There were lots of people training everywhere. They had the best equipment and scientists everywhere.

"Now you must select your training",said Grandfather.

I didn't know what to pick. There were many options to choose from. Should I become a master of the sword? Or maybe a spear?

As soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do.

The bow and arrow.

""I would like to train as a swordsman", said Ben

Shortly after Rachel , "I think I'll choose the Dagger".

"What will you choose Rachel?"

Everyone looked at Rachel.

"I would like to train with the bow and arrow."

"Just like your grandmother", said Grandpa

"We will have you guys start tomorrow so you can get some rest from the long journey."said William.

My Grandma died while fighting the Russians.

My new room was big. There was a big bed, a huge bathroom, and many bookshelves. I was tired so I jumped into my bed. I got under the covers and closed my eyes. I fell asleep instantly.
