The plan is as follows: try to not get involved with anything that falls outside the realm of information collecting, especially now that you're not actively present in Agency-related events. You have to lay low, bond with (and possibly get on your side) the Hunting Dogs and find Bram. When you are able to get your hands on Bram, however, you will do everything in your power to fuck up every remaining plan Fukuchi might have. Original plot be damned! Too many things have changed, might as well go crazy.

All of the Dogs were out of the house on business when you received Oda's call. You were taking a short walk outside, thinking, when it rang that cute old-fashioned melody Ango set up for you. You teared up a little bit when you heard the voices of Dazai Osamu and Edogawa Ranpo on the other side. Even after all that happened, Ranpo's unwavering determination to figure out what's wrong made you all warm inside. His theory made sense. The page could definitely be involved here. Was Kamui trying to get you out of the Armed Detective Agency when it offered you the Hunting Dogs "supervision" job? Who knows. It probably did help in the long run, so you'll focus on other things for now. You didn't have time to talk for long, but it was enough. It made you remember who you were doing all this for. Osamu's quiet "I miss you" before the call cuts off sticks close to your heart. You'll repeat it in your head every night until you can see him again and hear it in person.

And now, the cannibalism arc has started. Both Fukuzawa and Mori are already infected and you won't be doing anything to help. It's better if Ranpo and Osamu do their own thing without you present. You trust them to fix this. As much as you'd like to intervene somehow, you've got too much on your plate already.

You slump against the chair as you enter Fukuchi's office. Your wrists ache and you haven't managed to get a single night of decent sleep. They tied your wrists so tightly that the rope left some nasty bruises, now covered with sterile bandages. Those doctors patched you up to the best of their ability, but it still hurts. No one is as good as Yosano Akiko at fixing you up. One of the bandages seems to have gotten loose at the end and you pick at it mindlessly. You miss her.

Fukuchi coughs, grabbing your attention. "I read your report."

You look up at him with a tired gaze. "Yeah?"

"Yes. And it made me think of something else. You don't know this, but I've been following your detective work for a while now. Since the Azure Messenger case, I've read every report you submitted to the Special Division."

He has been keeping tabs on you this long? That perks you up and you straighten in your chair immediately, trying to remain calm. "You have?"

Fukuchi leans slightly forward, resting his chin in the palm of his hand. "Indeed. Your ability caught my eye. You don't see teleportation types very often. Anyway, what I wanted to talk about was the so-called 'young Master' Otto Symons. I seem to remember his name from one of your earlier reports."

"The Sky Casino one, yes."

"That's the one! Well, I thought you might want to talk to him. Especially considering all the new information."

You stay quiet for a moment. While it is true you wanted to talk to Otto, you didn't think an opportunity would arise this quickly and easily. "I can do that? Just like that?"

"Yup! I'm not the only one who noticed actually. Some people at the Special Division also brought it to my attention, saying you should go and talk to him. Maybe he'll tell you something useful, regarding this case or the Sky Casino one. I'll ask around and set up the meeting for you if you'd like." His smile looks genuine. It's only the two of you in this office, no one else to put a show on for, and he still genuinely looks like he wants to help you with this. You aren't sure how to feel about it.
