Three years later
Priscilla slowly opened her eyes. At first she didn't even understand what woke her up, but then she heard strange noises coming from the next room. The purple haired witch knew what was happening right away.
Priscilla immediately kicked off the blanket, then quickly opened the door and hurried straight into the room next to her.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw her mother lying in bed writhing in pain, and Priscilla's grandmother, Ophelia Cerys, was kneeling next to her, trying to calm Taneisha down. The room shook with each of Taneisha's groans. A small porcelain plate was already broken on the floor.
"Calm down, Mom, I'm here." said Priscilla, then sat down next to her mother and hugged the ebony-haired witch and began to caress her gently. "I'm here..."
As a result of Priscilla's hug, Taneisha's squirming started to subside, at the same time the shaking of the room gradually stopped, and a few seconds later everything was quiet. All that could be heard was Taneisha's erratic panting.
"What happened, Granny?" Priscilla got up and tiredly looked at her grandmother.
"I don't know." Ophelia answered worriedly. "I had just stepped out the door to make some hot tea before Tanie had a seizure."
"Perhaps it would be best if I stayed home and..." Priscilla began, but Ophelia immediately started shaking her head.
"No no. You can't miss your first day of school."
"Who cares about school..." Priscilla muttered to herself.
Unfortunately, her grandmother overheard this.
"Priscilla Daemonne!" Ophelia raised her voice. "I will not have this conversation with you again! You belong at school! Your job is to learn to..."
"My job is to be by Mom's side!" Priscilla snapped angrily. "Who will watch over her while I'm at school?!"
"What do you mean who?" Ophelia looked at her granddaughter, puzzled. "Me of course! And the new nurse is coming today, so..."
"Because the last nurse was so helpful. right?!"
At the loud noise, Taneisha woke up, then slowly sat up and looked confusedly at her mother, then at her daughter, and finally her eyes wandered to the pieces of the broken plate on the floor.
"It happened again, didn't it...?" Taneisha's voice was barely above a whisper.
Priscilla and Ophelia immediately fell silent and looked at the ebony-haired witch.
"Nothing happened my dear." Ophelia forced a smile on her face. "That plate was already cracked anyway."
Taneisha buried her face in her hands.
"My Titan, I'm terrible..."
" No way!" Ophelia and Priscilla said at the same time.
"My little girl." Ophelia continued carefully. "Everyone experiences grief differently. You've got witch stress. It happens to anyone. You shouldn't beat yourself up about it..."
Taneisha's tears welled up and she spoke in a trembling voice.
"I know I should move on, but I just can't. I can't let Darius go. He was the love of my life and... and..."
Now not only was Taneisha's voice shaking, but the room was shaking with it. Priscilla immediately sat down next to her mother and hugged her tightly.
"It's okay, Mom, calm down." the purple haired witch tried to calm her down. "I understand you. I miss Dad a lot too."
