"Okay, so let's clear things one more time. In the middle of the night, a mysterious person left you a bouquet of flowers and then got absorbed."
"Yes."
It was three o'clock in the afternoon and Lucia's friends were all in the hospital in the brunette girl's room. Lucia told them what happened to her that night.
"Have you told your moms about this?" Paulina asked.
"No." Lucia shook her head. "They haven't visited today yet, which is quite strange. Before you, Aunt Emira was the only one here, who brought me food."
"I don't think they'll be visiting you anytime soon." growled Kevin, playing his Nintendo Swap as usual.
"What makes you think that?" Lucia raised her eyebrows.
"There's quite a lot of trouble in all the covens right now," Kevin answered without looking up from his game. "Your parents are probably busy with that."
"How do you know that?" Zelmira asked.
"I heard my dads talking about it in the morning."
Then the door opened and Axel entered.
"Hello!" greeted Axel the others, then turned to Lucia. "I'm glad you're back among us. I missed you."
"Me too." Lucia laughed nervously, with a small red spot on her face.
Axel smiled at her, then noticed the flowers on the bedside table.
"Nice bouquet. Who did you get it from?"
Lucia also initiated Axel into her midnight adventure. When the story was over, the boy stared at the flowers thoughtfully.
"What do your parents say about this?
"I haven't had a chance to talk to them." Lucia answered. "They haven't come to see me today."
"Understandable." Axel nodded and looked at the others. "The confusion at the covens is huge now."
"You know what's going on there?" Zelmira asked.
"I have no idea." Axel shook his head. "All I heard was that all covenheads and higher-ranking officers were appointed today."
At that moment, the door opened again and two witches entered. Both were tall and fair skinned and had green eyes. They were Emira and Viney's twin children, Violet and Vincent, alias Lucia's cousins. Although they looked alike in most things, Violet had shoulder length raven black hair while Vincent sported a snow white spiky hairstyle.
"Sup'!" said Violet and Vincent at the same time.
"Vio! Vin!" Lucia exclaimed happily. "Long time no see!"
"It's been a while, little potato!" Violet said with a wide grin.
"Hey, we're only five years apart." Lucia stuck out her tongue. "So I'm not small!"
"The smaller it is, the bigger it sounds," joked Vincent. "We even heard the sound of your potion bomb, even though we were patrolling three kilometers away."
"Thank you?" said Lucia awkwardly.
"But seriously now." Violet said without smiling. "Everything is alright?"
"Don't worry, I'm fine." Lucia reassured her cousins. "And I'm still here."
"What do you mean?" Vincent asked.
"Lucia had an unknown visitor that night." answered Paulina. "So far, they have only brought Lucia a bouquet, but we're afraid that they will come back."
