The media is of Ryo's dress
Yuka:
I entered the dining hall hesitantly on Suon's arm. No one was there yet thankfully so Suon let me sit beside him, but it meant that Ryo would sit beside Raido.
Suon had only told me bits and pieces of their past, but I knew enough to know that something would happen.
I looked up when the Queen entered with a young man.
The Queen sat at the head with the man on her left side and Suon sitting across from him on her right.
"Yuka, darling, this Raido. Your fiancé." Raido smiled sweetly at me and I just stared blankly at him.
"He's not my fiancé." I said plainly.
"Because she is mine." I jumped when Ryo entered. She wore a red and black dress that showed off her thin waist and delicate shoulders.
I blushed as what she said dawned upon me.
"What do you mean, she's yours?" The Queen asked, her voice and face were disgusted.
"I mean she is my fiancé." Ryo stated and gave the Queen a look that said, 'duh'.
She sat beside Raido and stared at me, but I didn't miss the fact that she slipped the butter knife into her hand that disappeared under the table.
Nor did I miss the way Raido suddenly grunted and clutched his leg, telling his mother it was from a wound taken during his short ride outside the castle.
I hid my smirk behind my napkin as did Suon, while Ryo looked around blankly.
"She is not your fiancé!' I jumped as the Queen's voice boomed across the room. "It is unlawful and disgusting! I thought that when you left you would've fixed your problem!"
Ryo:
Pure fury burned up in my chest at my mothers words. I stood up with my head down, my bangs covering my eyes.
"It may be unlawful, but it shouldn't be. And it is not disgusting, it's beautiful. To be able to love those you love no matter what sex or race they are is beautiful. And it is not a problem. It can't be fixed. You are the one who is disgusting and needs to be fixed."
I looked up at her as I said the last sentence. I could see the waves of anger and surprise churning in her eyes.
She put down her napkin and fork and stormed out of the dining hall. The moment she was gone I turned and punched Raido in the face.
He cried out and held his red cheek in his hand. "What was that for?" He whined.
I growled. "For stabbing me and making me leave. I would've left on my own you know."
I saw Suon's eyes widen and fill with hurt. I turned to him. "Suon, I'm sorry but I couldn't stay here. You didn't know what was actually happening that training room everyday."
Yuka:
Ryo looked away at that, her eyes distant and I was curious to know what actually happened.
I shrugged it off. I'll have her tell me tonight.
I blushed, thinking about what would happen with next door to me. What if she decides to sleep in my room? With me?
I glanced at Ryo to see her staring at me. "W-what?" I stuttered, trying to control my blush.
"You haven't said anything about being my fiancé." She stated.
I blushed and looked down at my empty plate. "I haven't thought about it yet." I said truthfully.
"I'm finished. Come, Yuka. Lets go." She grabbed my hand and led us away to our rooms and I panicked when we entered hers.
My heart raced as she turned to me mid-undressing. "Sorry, I hate dresses." She shrugged and returned to undressing before I could answer.
I watched mesmerized as she walked toward her dresser in only her underclothes.
Her skin was covered in scars that were both new old. Some were a ferocious red and some were a ghostly white.
I hadn't even realized I was walking toward her until my finger grazed a scar on her back. She stiffened but didn't stop me.
I traced one that started on her shoulder and stopped at her opposite rib. "Where did you get this one?"
"A lesson from my mother. Never turn your back upon your opponent."
I traced one that led from above the back of her hip to the top of her spin. "And this one?"
"Disobedience is not tolerated here. That is from a whip, not a sword." She took my hand and turned around.
I blushed and tried to avert my eyes but I followed my hands as Ryo moved them across her chest.
"This one was from the training room. And this. Also this one." She trailed my fingers across her torso and I found my eyes staring at her. She was beautiful.
The scars only made her more beautiful in my eyes. We spent that night with her telling me how she had gotten each scar. Even the ones on her wrists...
