Chapter 7: First day of school
Jade POV
The rest of the weekend went by slowly after the guys left. It was Monday, for some it was there first day back from Spring Break, but for me, it was my first day of school. Courtney called and registered me, so I was all set. Last night I took a nice relaxing bubble bath, but i wanted to take another shower just case, because I didn't want to go to school stinky. That would not be a great impression.
When I was out the shower, I wrapped a towel around myself and went into my vanity room to l pugged up my curling irons and flat irons. Once that was done I went to my closet to find something to wear. 30 minutes passed and I became so frustrated, because I couldnt find anything to wear. Finally, God himself help me find an outfit. I decided on a blue halter top, a black cover up to go over it, I picked out an black and white skirt, which was ruffled and had a belt. For my shoes I decided on some silver and black heels which had a purse to match it.
Once I was dressed and done with my hair and makeup, i went down stairs looking for my idiot brother. I found him in the kitchen stuffing his face with Fruity Pebbles and CoCo Puffs. I grabbed a banana and peeled it.
"Hey Jadey Bug." he greeted.
"Hey." I said after swallowing a bite of banana.
"You want a ride to school?"
"Hell no. I wanna drive my own car. I haven't drove it in like a week."
"Suit yourself Jadey Bug."
"And don't call me that at school."
"Why not, Jadey Bug?" he asked with a smirk.
"Because then i'd have to call you little Dilly, and no girl likes a guy with a little Dilly." I laughed throwing away my banana peel. "See ya at school." I said walking out of the kitchen. I grabbed my keys and headed out of the door.
On my way to school I started to get pretty nervous. My grip on the stiring wheel became tighter, and I felt like I was going to break a sweat any moment now. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves. I never been this nervous for the first day of school. Maybe it was because this was my first day of school at a different school. Hmmm...yep that was it.
I finally met my destination. La push High. It seemed like your typical average high school, with different social groups . The plan was if I didn't see my brother and his friends then I would wait in the car. And that's what I did until the bell rang.
I stepped out of my car, grabbing my backpack, purse and trumpet. Yes I planned on being in band, I just hoped the director wasn't a asshole or one of those types who thinks that only good players belong in the band.
I made it into the hallway. People kept staring at me, like I was a hot piece of a chicken that just came off the fryer.
" take a picture, it'll last longer" I said to everyone. They looked away and continued to do what they were doing.
" ooo we have a fiesty one on our hands ladys and gentlemen" I turned around to see an absoutley down right gorgeous boy standing behind me. He was about 6'1 with short blonde hair, his eyes were a rich green like my dads, except my dad eyes were prettier. " the name is Colton Farris, and you are the most sexiest girl I have ever seen" He said.
" ok, No one asked for an introduction, so why are you talking to me?" I asked, Colton looked like one of those boys who thinks he can get any girl as he pleases, But not me. I'm not going.
" Because I find you attractive" he said coming up beside me. I ignored him and kept walking. He caught up with me." do you want me to carry your trombone?" he asked. I stopped dead in my tracks. I was offended, he must be as dumb as I thought he was.
