Chapter 8:

Jacob Pov

I was beyond pissed. The situation with Colton got under my skin. I could barely concentrate and that wasnt good since I was on patrol. I thought about me beating the life out of that poor excuse for a human being, hell to me ,he wasnt even that. Why does he act like that? I growled. Punk ass.

" dude, Jake calm down" Paul thought towards me.

"hell no, not after what he said to my imprint" I thought back.The scene replayed in my head over and over again. This scene was doing a good job of haunting me.

"You imprinted again" Paul exclaimed.

" Jeez, your late"Seth butted in.

I rolled my eyes mentally at Seth.

" well its true" he stated. we continued in silence. I picked up my pace. The faster I did my rounds, the faster I could get the hell up out of this joint. I was taking the path towards the Canadian border, as always. I stopped dead in my tracks, when I saw the same blonde leech I ran into the other day.

" guys we've got company" I thought, towards my pack members. They all replied and headed there.

I chased after her, and she quickly began to run once noticing my appearance. I caught up to her. I pounced on her, and pinned her down. She got out of my grasp and headed towards her destination. I chased after her again, I met up with the guys. Paul on my left, Seth on my right. This was defensive mode, I was the quarterback and Paul and Seth were my Defensive ends.My animal insincts took over, letting me be the wolf I was destined to be.

We had been chasing the leech for what seemed like forever until we lost her again.Grrrr. I was starting to get bored, so I began to think about Jade. Her soft long dark hair, her angelic eyes, her nice curvy body,her intoxicating scent,and her smile ,that sent me places. I was rudely interupted, when Paul thought something repulsive that got under my skin.

" that girl is fine, wouldn't mind gettin' into that" Paul thought. Seth snorted a laugh.

" Paul where the hell are you, I wanna break your nose again like I did before" I thought towards him, replaying the scene in my head of me breaking his nose.

" you just got lucky" He thought back. I heard Seth mentally laughing.

" whatever, your just weak" I thought again.

He mentally rolled his eyes," Anyway, I don't know about y'all but it's time to go, its passed 10:30pm."

" your right, let's go" I thought to my pack members.

We all went back to the places where we phased and put our clothes on. After that we went our seperate ways towards our houses.

Once I made it to my house, I notice my dad was up still watching some sports channel on tv. I went and sat on the couch across from him.

" hey dad" I greeted.

" hello, son" Billy replied," how was patrol?" he asked.

I shrugged," fine" I answered, "there was nothing new" I added.

" Oh." was all he said.

" Well good night"I said, I stood up and began to proceed to my room, until he spoke again.

" I heard about what happened today at school, is there something we need to talk about" He said. The scene flashed back into my head, every detail was vivid.

I shook my head," No" I replied," It was nothing" I added, continuing to my room. I wasn't really hungry, and besides Emily cooked us a big dinner before Paul, Seth and I left for patrol.
