Chapter 14:

Jacob Pov

" Your such a cheater " She whined," you couldve at least given me a head start" She stated, as we made it into the living room.

" No I'm not, and I did give you a head start."

" na-uh, as soon as we left the parking lot, you blew me a kiss and zoomed pass me"

I chuckled," if letting you back up and go infront of me,not a head start, then I don't know what is" I replied.

" it was a lousy head start" She said.

" Was not, I gave you enough time to back out."

" well you shouldve told me that, then I probably wouldve won." She stated.

" Whatever." I said, smiling.

" Whatever my butt" she said, I chuckled. She then stood, and I looked at her.

" Where are you going?" I asked.

" To find some Pepto and check on my brother" She answered, patting her stomach.

" Ok, what's wrong with Dylan again?" I asked.

" He has strep throat " she answered.

" Wow." I stated," that's gotta suck"

" Yeah" she said leaving the room. She walk back in a few minutes later and sat on the couch beside me. She looked at me. If I didn't have the tan skin I did, she could probably see me blushing a tad.

" what is it?" I asked.

"Has anyone every told you that you have beautiful brown eyes"

I smiled," no and thank you" I said pecking her lips.

" your...welcome" she replied.

" Now, what class do you have homework in?" I asked. I watched her think, she looked so cute.

" Civics" she answered, she rolled her eyes.

" well it shouldn't be that bad, I mean it's just civics"

" yeah, I know" she replied. With that we started on her homework.

Jade pov

After my homework, I ordered pizza. I had a little of an apetite and besides I damn sure didn't feel like cooking.

" so are you coming to softball tryouts?" I asked. Taking a sip of my sprite.

" Uh i won't be at school tomorrow, again" he replied, running a hand threw his hair. I became a little sad.

" Awww, why not this time?"

" family stuff"

" oh" I said. Silence came among us for a minute.

I felt his warm hand around mine.

" I'm sorry, I shouldve told you earlier" he said, squating down in front me, searching for my eyes. I looked at him.

" it's ok" I gave him a smile. He smiled back at me, showing thoses perfect set of teeth. I cupped both sides of his face and leaned down to kiss him. His lips met mine immediatley. He slowly made his way hovering over me, not breaking the kiss. My arms dangled around his neck, pulling him closer. His tongue slid into my mouth and I immediatley granted him access. There was no need to engage in a battle, because our tongues were allies...for now.

As we got into the kiss I heard someone clear their throat. Jacob and I pulled away from each other. I looked up to see my dad, looking at us curiously, with his arms acrossed his chest. My mom appeared beside him with a smile on her face.
