Chapter 19

Jade POV

" Courtney, whats wrong? Tell me what happen" I said. I was getting worried. I looked at Dylan, who just getting off the phone.

Courtney just started to cry again.

" Dylan what's going on"

" Jade, Jes got into a car reck...when the police get there to investigate, Jes' car was vacant"

" what?!" I exclaimed. Tears started to sting my eyes," it can't be, there must be some kind of mistake." I said pacing," are you sure that's her car" I asked, placing my hands on my head.

" yes, I just got off the phone with her mother" Dylan said.

" where is Stevi?" I asked.

" I took her home already" he replied.

" ok" I sat on the couch, and begin to cry along with my sister. Dylan sat between Courtney and I, wrapping his arms around the both of us.

" where did this happen?" I asked.

" Seattle" Courtney spoke up.

" what was she doing in Seattle?" I questioned.

" ok...well Jes and I thought it would be great to surprise you with her coming here" she answered.

" I don't understand why she didn't fly in the first place" I said, more tears coming out of my eyes. Jes is my best friend. My life would/could not be the same without her.

" Jade, if it helps any ill stay home from school and go looking for Jes." Dylan suggested.

" you've messed a lot of school already, and I want you to graduate on time" I replied. I was quiet for a moment, until I spoke up.

" are you guys absolutely sure that was her car"

" Yes, pink and white mustang, with Jes' initial on the side view mirrors."

I started to cry again. I felt Courtney put a soothing hand on my back while Dylan kissed my forehead.

Afterwards, I found myself lugging upstairs to my room, shutting the door behind me. I couldn't believe what happen. Was this a dream? I pinched myself. Yep it was very much real, because that hurt. I lie down on my bed ,taking a deep breath. I cried myself to sleep, hoping she would be alright.

Jacob POV

After my date with Jade, Sam sent me a text telling me to meet at his house immediately.

I got home at around 9 to change clothes. I threw on a wife beater and some red basketball shorts. I slipped on my shoes and dotted the door. I hopped into my car, starting the engine. It purred to life and I was automatically speeding down the road.

About less than 5 minutes I was there. Getting out of the car, I walked in the house without knocking. I mean, what was the point in knocking if they could smell me? Anyways, I walked in to see everyone. It seem like the room was tense.

" what's going on?" I asked, sitting on the couch next to Embry.

" two people in Seattle got into a car accident, and they can't find the bodies of the victims. I think this is some vampire activity" Sam said.

" how can we be so sure? For all we know these people could have just ran away from the scene" Jared stated. He had a good point.

" True, but it's still something we will have to look into. Meaning our patrolling areas are going be farther out in the region. " Sam replied.

" Sam turn the tv up?" Emily said.

We all look towards the tv, looking at pink and white mustang GT. The front of the car looked bad, and there a high possibility that it's gonna be totaled. The other car was a Honda civics, whose bumper was messed up.

" In downtown Seattle, a horrible wreck was witness by a local in a nearby gas station. The bypasser rushed over to where to accident was, after the police was called. The bypasser witness that both cars were empty."

" the police have yet to find the missing people. The police ask if anyone knows the owners of the cars, please call them."

" in other news-" the woman started to say until the tv was shut off.

" I think it's vampire activity also" I stated. Sam nodded for me to continue.

" ok, both of them are gone. Why would vampires take one person and not the other? Vampires are greedy, they will stuck the life out of anything that comes their way" I finished.

" I was thinking the same thing" Embry stated. Everyone else seemed to agree too.

" so what else are we suppose to do besides extending the range of our routes?" Seth asked, leaning forward placing his elbows on his knee.

" try to find the missing people if they haven't.....you know died" Sam replied rubbing the back of his neck.

After the meeting, everyone left to go home.

When I got home,I went into the living and to my surprise dad was up.

" Hello, son" He greeted me.

" What's up, dad?" I asked taking a seat on the couch.

" nothing much, I just went fishing with old Quil" He replied," how about you?"

" let's just say my day was amazing" I stated, going into a bit of a daze.

" let me guess, you went out with that girlfriend of yours?" he smirked.

" Yes sir I did." I smiled.

He chuckled," So when do I get to meet this girl?" he asked me.

I just realize Jade hasn't met my dad. I hope they would get along with each other whenever they met.

" You'll get to meet her soon" I replied.

" She's good for you" My dad stated.

" She's perfect" I corrected.

After talking to my dad, I went to my room. I stripped down to my boxers and hopping under the blanket even though I wouldn't need it. I put my arms behind my head, thinking about my beautiful. I doze to sleep with a smile on my face.
