Chloe and Mei made their way to the woods following the faint energy that Chloe was tracking.
When they reached Ellie's Shack in the middle of the North Woods Chloe got to work while Mei noticed that her two wolves were still slumped over.
"They've been shot", Mei noted. "They did ambush them".
"Judging from the tranqs it's a different smell than wolfsbane that's for sure", Chloe mentioned. "Sensing Zega's energy, Rogues".
At the mention of that, Mei knew now that Ellie was in grave danger, before they could go any further however someone was fast approaching, revealing themselves, a well-built black male that they were unfamiliar with and another strapping man who had the looks of a Polynesian boy.
Instantly Chloe's green flames flowed around her hands as she was about to unleash a fireball before the two youths put their hands up in surrender
"Woah woah, flame princess we aren't here for a fight", the Polynesian boy pleaded.
"Your Kyle's girl aren't you?" Demarcus stated quickly which caught both girls off guard. "I'm his friend, and I need your help".
"Former friend", a familiar voice stated.
Coming through an opening in the woods appeared Kyle from the clearing confronting the sight before him, it felt like ages since he had seen Chloe who was surprised at seeing him but leaped into his arms as they hugged and kissed
"What are you doing here?", Chloe asked.
"Got a text message from a certain Knight, speaking of which, Andrea quit hiding and get out here already", Kyle ordered.
An arrow flew past Demarcus and Koda's head as the young female hunter made her presence felt

"Mind putting the arrows down", Kyle asked her with a tilt of his head.
Lowering her weapon Kyle quickly introduced the two boys and introduced herself, Chloe, and Mei.
"Alright with that out of the way, the Rogue Wolves, I've met only two of them, lovely people", Kyle replied sarcastically. "What do they want with Ellie?"
"Steal her alpha spark, it's one of the main ways an Alpha according to legend can enhance his or her power", Koda explained. "It's a frowned upon the thing in most packs and tribes".
"Rogues don't look like the kind that cares about what people think about them anyway", Demarcus stated with a snarl.
"There's also the fact Zega the Rogue Wolves leader and Alpha has been trying to turn Ellie into his mate, forceful marriage if you will", Mei chimed in.
The group pondered what to do but Demarcus had enough of waiting and vowed he'd bring Ellie back as he had a promise to keep but was held back by Kyle.
"If you're going to go in guns blazing at least have a suitable plan", Kyle told him.
Finally, another individual showed up, revealing to be Andrea's twin Andrew who came with weapons a piece of paper nodding at Kyle as he returned the look.
MEANWHILE
The True Vampires, along with Freya Lacroix and Victoria had returned to Adrian's home but were not without their injuries, despite their immortality strength and speed. The Wendigo's numerous numbers and durability proved challenging where both Adrian and Jahrome suffered numerous injuries and gashes across their backs and chest, Kamika herself while not badly bodily bruised still housed claw marks on her face, Freya too her chest splattered with blood while Victoria had multiple markings across her chest and legs.
While everyone sat in various chairs Jahrome pulled a bottle of scotch and wine from the cabinet pouring glasses for all as he sat down laughing.
"What is it, brother?" Adrian asked curious.
"That kid, Whittier, he may have a point", Jahrome responded.
"Don't tell me after one wild Wendigo encounter you're starting to believe in the superstition of an Alpha Wendigo", Kamika scoffed as she sipped her wine.
"We can deny its existence, but there's an outbreak of Wendigo's stronger than ones we've faced in the past", Jahrome pointed out.
There was a silent agreement that while the Wendigo's were becoming more and more of a problem it made no sense for them to speculate.
Kamika then looked at the battered face of Freya Lacroix, she was a well-known fashion designer and was a vampiric child by her standards, yet she stood and fought with them.
"Why didn't you leave?" Kamika asked, "You almost died many times, and you're no warrior, so why stay?"
"I don't know, I guess your words stung a bit and I wanted to prove I could at least hold my own", Freya responded not looking at anything in particular.
"In any case, Dexter and Phillip aren't going to show their faces for a while, and the next bet is that they will align with Dareus", Jahrome stated.
"Regardless, a war is brewing and we need to act quickly to be on the right side", Kamika pointed out. "Which side that may be, is anyone's guess".
All were silent as the lingering thought was in the back of each other's minds on what was their best course of action in the next few weeks.
BACK AT WHITTIER HOME
While Toni and Adam kept themselves home and their mother once again working a late shift the two were greeted by Zargan, Malakai, and Eve who were concerned with Kyle going off on his own.
"Kyle doesn't want too many of us gone, besides he can handle himself", Adam pointed out. "However I can't shake the uneasy feeling of late".
"Tell me about it", Toni agreed. "At least we aren't expecting anyone here tonight".
No sooner had Toni stated this than a knock at the door sounded to which Toni looked flustered, Eve went to the door, and Zargan and Malakai both wanting to keep their cover decided best to stay out of sight.
"Friends of yours I assume", Eve announced.
With that, Adam opened the door revealing Emily and one of her sisters much to his surprise.
"What are you doing here, I thought you said it was risky", Adam stated caressing her face.
"We know but there have been some problems", the other girl responded.
Before either could explain lights in the house started to flicker. causing all the teens to tense up.
"Oh god", Emily whimpered. "He's here".
At that, both Toni and Adam opened the door, at the front there was a group of women and a muscular elder black male who greeted them with a sharp smile.
"Might we have a chat, I wish to make some new friends", he smiled
This was not a situation they had bargained for and would get out of hand real quick if Adam or Toni didn't play their cards right?
