CHAPTER 7 THE ROMERO PACK AND A NEW MONSTER DAWNS

As the battle raged on it became clear that for all the strength the Ferals had they were extremely predictable which made killing them easier than Kyle expected., he had a little issue taking on three at a time and realized the most effective way of killing them was piercing them through their heart and burning both of which he could do due to his enhanced strength. He looked over to see Shauna was handling herself rather well but Kyle noticed the peculiar ability she was using her hair and freezing the creatures and with tremendous effort smashing them with her fists causing the two to stare at each other

" What?" she asked.

" Freezing your victims, how long has this been an ability", Kyle asked her.

" Now is not the time to be delving into my back story", Shauna explained as another monster tried to attack her but her hair wrapped around its neck dropping it to the ground.

Kyle smirking at how easily flustered she got and saw two more of the Ferals trying to get the jump on him but he burst through their chest with his claws and they exploded on impact from his Pyrokinetic abilities and the two Chimera's were holding there own as they watched each other's backs though their strength seemed to differ to that of Kyle's as they had a harder time destroying the Ferals. But the battle waged on and for everyone they killed it seemed more and more of them kept spawning and as a result, Dean got overwhelmed and one bit in his neck with Foga managing to pry the creature from his friend as the Ferals closed in.

" Well this is great, these things just keep coming", Shauna chided.

" Guys no pressure or anything but Dean's not looking too well", Foga told them as Dean seemed to be convulsing and foaming at the mouth with Dean and Shauna tending to them.

More and more Ferals closed in stalking their prey and it was at this time Kyle seemingly out of options called on Barghest through their telepathic link

" Well, any ideas?" Kyle asked.

" Just use your normal flames, I'm sure you'll be fine", the black dog told him as it sounded quite bored and this annoyed Kyle greatly.

" Listen here you annoying black useless mutt, you may be the powerful creature and Lucifer may hold you in high regard but you're in my body and if you want to continue your little parade I suggest you cooperate unless your just too weak", Kyle said and this seemed to cause an eruption of power to explode from him.

" ME WEAK!!" BARGHEST growled as the link became heated and seemed to be destabilizing. " I AM A HELLHOUND, THE DARK HOUND OF DEATH AND YOU DARE QUESTION MY POWER!!"

At this almost instantly Kyle was not in control of his actions as the Black Dog took control of him and black flames erupted from his body as the same dark flame circle that first appeared when he was possessed by Barghest appeared on his shoulder

Only this time Kyle seemed more animalistic as his growls suggested and in an incredible display of power his discharged energy reached the Ferals killing them all. But shortly after Kyle collapsed from exhaustion as the last thing he heard was Shauna shouting his name.

THE NEXT DAY

Daniel's POV How long has it been, I can still feel the aches and pains of my body, the night is burned into my mind forever the closest I've been to death and I can count myself lucky to have been saved, speaking of which where am I. Last I remembered I was on the back of that large wolf it carried me somewhere speaking of which....END POV
