Kyle's danger sense was going off like a missile sent to space as he barely dodged the knife that impaled the bed right where he had his private part laying. Arlene quickly recovered and lunged at the boy who dodged her yet again as she smashed into the lamp, the commotion within the room finally waking Jason who rubbed his eyes noticing the scuffling between mother and son but instantly realized that Kyle was being attacked and jumped in to at least restrain the woman but a powerful invisible force of energy knocked Jason into the closet as she targeted Kyle who had dashed downstairs with her in close pursuit. In the living room, Arlene scanned around looking for her target who was currently using his invisibility powers though was barely maintaining that as Arelene came desperately close to finding him but Kyle noticed her pulling something from behind her back and instantly threw it in Kyle's direction with the glass breaking in his face and the burn and steam that protruded from it was unbearable for Kyle as he screamed out in pain but Arelene struck as he became visible to her and he stabbed him straight in the heart. Kyle had a look of confusion and hurt as he was gracefully placed to the ground with the knife going ever so deeper close to his beating heart but soon enough he blacked out before ever knowing if he fully died.
THE NEXT MORNING
Kyle POV
My head hurts like a motherfucker, jeez talk about a rush. Wait... where's mom?! Fuck my chest hurts like hell but I need to get up. I rush out of the bed and make my way downstairs falling in the process cursing my clumsiness. It's then I notice Adam and Toni helping me up and then I see her.

She looks so peaceful but even with this pain I can still sense something is wrong, I am tentative to touch cause the images of my mother attacking me still burned into my mind but I know she would have never done so willingly. Something got to her and I need to find out what.
END POV
Kyle continued stroking her hair until a short clear of the throat brought out of his moment noticing the Knights were all present including Father Downswell who despite his age seemed to keep up with the modern times of his attire not looking entirely out of place, blue jeans black t-shirt and a cowboy hat. Despite Kyle and Downswell disagreement earlier the two didn't have ill will towards another at the moment and he gave Kyle a small bird ornament to which he held onto.
"I planned on taking her to the hospital before you woke up but seems as if your healing much quicker than expected", Abuenazzer explained.
"Still hurts like a motherfucker", Kyle complained as he stretched and could feel the aches from the wounds on his chest and his eyes were still a bit dry from whatever it was Arelene threw in them.
"It's miracle all you have his minor pain, had Jason not gotten your mother off you when he did you'd probably be unconscious for much longer", Andrew mentioned.
"What was I stabbed with anyway, it felt like my whole body was churning into a puddle when that blade reached into my chest", Kyle asked.
"Eekrajium", Andrea popped up. "It's a plant that's grown normally in large bunches, usually to ward off evil spirits or in the supernaturals case vampires".
