BISHOP CREEK HOSPITAL

Kyle and his mother had been going and coming from the hospital for the past few days as Toni and Adam had been placed under heavy surveillance and protection both from the local police by Sheriff Dalton Hellewell who had made his personal mission to ensure the two were always watched in case their kidnappers tried to make a move again. Kyle watched slowly the rasping breaths of both of his friends as they were still struggling to stay awake longer several minutes a day though Kyle made sure he spent as much time here while also keeping up to date with the Sheriff regarding one Dareus Lukemaer as he brought both Kyle and his mother away from the earshot of several of his cops

" I know I probably shouldn't do this, but I feel as if I owe both of you for my lack of initiative during the disappearance of your kids Miss Whittier", Sheriff stated.

" We all make mistakes Sheriff, some greater than others", Arlene stated with a rueful smile to which he nodded.

" You didn't come over here to apologize, so how about you cut to the chase and quit stalling", Kyle stated and it was as aggressive as he's ever sounded with his mother looking at him cross-eyed.

" Pardon his tone, did you have something to tell us it seemed urgent", Arelene responded as Kyle rolled his eyes.

The sheriff seemed hesitant but revealed that the case with Dareus Lukemaer was going to be difficult as there was a lack of evidence to convict, adding to that the string of unsuccessful cases that have been put against him before it would be a tough trial.

" So let me get this straight, no one in this piece of shit town that's worth anything can come up with anything to convict this asshole" Kyle spouted feeling his anger rise and at any moment he knew he'd force transform if he kept this up.

" It's not as simple as that Kyle,'' Hellewell replied trying to calm him down.

" Surely they can do something, two missing persons end up at his club, what about the countless DNA of people within the club and those underground cells can come up with something", Kyle asked but seeing the look of indecisiveness from the Sheriff all Kyle could do was let out his frustration and punch the wall leaving his hand bloodied.

" Kyle I understand that you're frustrated but there's nothing I can do even if I wanted this bastard put behind bars", Hellewell pleaded trying to get through to the young man.

" No you don't, I haven't seen them in 2 months and they come back looking they've been injected with drugs not fit for teenagers, the amount of strange of occurrences in this town continue to drive me insane not to mention the shady business from your own police", Kyle stated and at the last bit Hellewell seemed shocked and confused.

" My police", Hellewell said almost as if the thought was too out of touch for him to recognize.

" I suggest you do some checking on who and who is in that department of yours that can be trusted Sheriff, otherwise things in this town may just get a whole lot worse", Kyle said and with that, he stalked off leaving Hellewell and his mother to indulge their own thoughts over what he said.

THE KNIGHT FAMILY HOME

Jason had been busy surveying some portraits on the wall of his father's office though he was lost in thought he heard the knocking of the door and rushed downstairs opening it revealing Joey Alcatraz who smiled at him with his clothes bloodied, his crossbow was soaked in the blood and the axe on his back, Joey was followed by a man who had bandaged eyes and a black cloak and hat attire dressed almost as if he was a churchgoer.

" Joey, Father please come in and do watch the bloodstains on the floor", Jason told them as the men followed him inside the house.

At this downstairs came Jason's father and his two younger siblings,
