Alex’s POV
I was walking towards the cafeteria but stopped when I noticed that someone was walking besides me. I looked to my left and raised a questioning eyebrow at him. But he just ignored me and looked forward. “Well can I help you?” I asked bored but at the same time annoyed. Dominic smirked when he saw I was getting annoyed but didn’t say anything. I noticed that many students had stoped doing their things and are focused on us. It’s not everyday that the loner badboy talks with the badgirl.
“Thank you but you didn’t had to help me.” Dominic finally said after a bit of walking. I looked at him amused and smug. “Well you ordered me to help you there. And you looked miserable.” I smirked. “I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about what you did at principal. Whatever that is that you did.” Dominic answered without looking at me. I just shrugged and said nothing. We reached the cafeteria. I looked around for Amber but didn’t saw her. But what I did notice was that everyone went silent as they looked at us. I just ignored it and took my phone out to order pizza. Our cafeteria food is disgusting.
When I switched on my phone I saw that Amber had texted me saying that she went home because of her mom. I sighed and decided to call her afterwards. “Well it was nice chatting with you but I have to go my pizza awaits.” I said and moved away without saying anything else and towards my table.
After few minutes I had my pizza and I was devouring it when I heard the chair infront of me move. I looked up with pizza in my mouth and saw that it was Dominic. I looked at him and saw that he had no emotion on his face yet his eyes were different story. There was something in his eyes that was very intriguing. He hides his feelings well but his eyes gives him away. He was still looking at me and not saying anything. After I had finished my second piece I finally asked. “What?” He looked amused for a second but didn’t say anything. I sighed annoyed and rolled my eyes. “Look if you don’t have anything to say then it's alright but quit staring. It's awkward to eat like that.” I said taking my third piece. I can feel many eyes of my fellow students on our table but like always I ignored it.
“ Why did you help me with principal?” He finally asked. I looked at him and scoffed in disbelief. “ You are still stuck on that?” I shook my head and said, “ I didn’t do anything it was all principal.” I said and continued eating my pizza which I couldn’t complete as I was full now. There were still three pieces left. Dominic scoffed at my answer and said, “ You think I believe that.” I looked at him and saw him eyeing my pizza. I pushed it towards him since I was done eating and shrugged at him. “ Believe what you want. And you are lucky I’m sharing it with you.” He looked at me for a minute while eating and then asked again. This guy is full of questions.
“ Are you not scared of me like everyone else?” I looked at him carefully since I sense a tone of sadness in his voice but his face was netural of any emotions. I remember why everyone was so scared of him to even talk to him. It was around the start of the year when Dominic had gotten into a fight with some jocks. I don’t know the details but one of the jock, Jerry was hospitalized. Since then everyone was scared of him. They thought of him like a ticking time bomb who could explode any moment. But why wasn’t scared of him? “Well I don’t have any reason to be.” I simply answered. He looked at him. If he was shocked he didn’t show it. “ Even when you know I have put Jerry in hospital?” He asked. I nodded, “You had your reasons." I said and then the bell rang. I looked at him and said, "I am not scared of you Dominic. You had your reasons. Everyone has." With that I left him and went to my last classes.
