Alex's POV

When we had reached the house that Bella had given directions to, Dom was pacing around the front door with his phone clutched to his ears and a worried expression on his face. Noah was also there speaking to someone with great urgency with a frown on his face. I was confused at first but then realized that Bella must be Dom's mother. No wonder she looked so familiar. Dom had Bella's hair and eyes and smile. Being gorgeous must be in their genes I guess. How lucky.

As soon as Bella came out of the car Dom's super tensed shoulder sagged in relief. "Mom" Dom whispered while pulling her into a tight hug. I stood near the passenger side with the passenger sides' window down, so Ryan knows I'm here and not leaving him alone. Noah was now off the phone and seemed relieved too. When Noah noticed me there too he looked at me confused and walked towards me.

"Alex what are you doing here? What happened and why was Bella so late home?" Noah started bombarding me questions without even stopping. I let him continue for a bit while Bella tried assuring Dom that she was okay and nothing bad has happened. I looked back at Noah and decided to remind him to breathe. "Breathe Noah Breathe." I chuckled a bit.

That caught Dom's attention and he looked up at me. Bella noticed his stare and smiled at me. "Alex? What are you doing here? And why was mom with you? Where were you, mom? Why was your phone not on? Can someone please answer?" Dom asked all at once just like Noah. Damn these boys. Bella looked at me and smiled gratefully. "I'll tell you dear. It's very late right now so let's go in and talk about it okay?" Bella said.

I thought about it and then looked inside the car where Ryan was asleep. I looked back apologetically towards Bella and said, "I think I should leave now. As you said it's late and Ryan is already asleep. So..." I trailed off as I brushed my hair behind my ear. Dom was just looking at me with blank face. I looked at him with raised brows.

Bella said good night to me as she understood that why I had to go and went in. Dom was still looking at me with blank face which I couldn't understand. "Did something bad happened tonight Alex?" Dom asked quietly. I looked at him and took his hand in mine. "Don't worry Dom, thankfully nothing bad happen. I'm sure Bella would like to explain everything." I squeezed his hand and gave him assuring smile. I watched him take in a deep breath and squeezing my hand he went in inside.

I watched him but was snapped out of it when I stumbled on the side. I glared at Noah who was trying to suppress his laugh. "So what's going on here?" Noah asked wiggling his eyebrows. I narrowed my eyes at him and then rolled it when he laughed. "Now go home Alex. Will talk tomorrow okay?" Noah said when he has calmed down. I pulled him in for a side hug and said, "You should go in there. Something did happened today but thankfully I reached on time. Dom's every lucky to have you. Also I hope your date was good today." After saying goodnight to Noah I left for home.

Dominic's POV

I went back inside and saw my mom sitting on the couch. I went towards her and sat besides her. I was going to ask what happened when she looked at me and said to wait for Noah.

After few minutes Noah came in and sat on the sofa chair near me. As soon as he sat down I turned to my mom. Then mom started talking about what happened. How her shift ended very late and she missed the bus and had to walk home. How there were some fuckers who tried to misbehave and how Alex had saw it and helped her.

Thank fucking god nothing bad happened and Alex reached on time. Noah went home after a few minutes. I'm so grateful to have him in my life even though he is a pain in the ass all the time. He has seen me at my lowest, highest and everything in between. He has never left my side even when I tried pushing him away. So I am always going to be thankful for not living my side.

When Noah went home, I hugged my mom very tightly. I was so scared. Mom caressed my head and whispered softly. "I'm perfectly fine Dom. Please stop worrying." "I know you are okay and nothing happened but what if Alex hadn't went passed from there? What if she did but you were already hurt? What if-?" I said everything panic rising every second.

"Dom, Baby. Don't think about the what ifs and buts now. Which was suppose to happen happened. Making assumptions will only hurt more. So let's not think about it okay?" I nodded. She is right. Everything is fine now. I shouldn't go into this what if spiral. Mom smiled at me reassuringly. "Now baby, did you had your dinner?" Mom asked.

I looked at her sheepishly and shook my head negative. Mom gave me a stern look but smiled while shaking her head when I pouted. Yes I only do that in front of my mom. I went and reheated the dinner while mom set up the plates. We both set down at our small dining table and I started to serve mom first then mine and then started to eat. "So...." I looked up at mom with confusion when I saw her looking at me with mischievous and teasing smile. "Alex. Is she the same girl you have been crushing on?" She wiggled her eyebrows. I could feel the blush rising but tried to cover it behind the cough.

"Yeah... She is." I said softly while smiling wide. Yes I have told about Alex to my mom and I am not naïve to not know about my feelings towards her. I don't know when exactly I started having feelings for her but I know it has been increasing day by day. Hopefully she has feelings for me too. Cause I know I am going to fall in love with her at this rate.
