Alex’s POV

We reached home after dropping Dom home. Ryan had fallen asleep on the way and was still sleeping. I parked the car in the driveway and quickly took the bag and pizza boxes inside the house before coming back out to get Ryan. I opened the back door of the car and tried to wake Ryan up.

“Hey buddy. We are home. Wake up.” I said gently shaking his shoulder. I heard him groan and before opening his eyes. “Come on love. We are home.” I said and moved forward to pick him up. “Come on.” Ryan put his hands around my neck and legs around my waist. I carefully hold him up and entered the house. I carefully put him on the couch in the living room making sure he was comfortable.

Ryan looked around himself taking his new home in. “So what do you wanna do first, love? Eat or tour?” I asked sitting beside him. Ryan looked at me and made a cute thinking face. “Eat.” He said quietly. I smiled and nodded. “Ok then. I’ll bring the pizzas here and we can watch a movie while eating. Then I can show you your room and other things.” I said standing and bringing plates and glasses from the kitchen. I put two slices of pizza on his plate and orange juice as a drink and handed him the plate.

I took the tv remote and again took my place beside him while turning on the tv. “What do you wanna watch, love?” I looked at him and saw him looking confused. He looked at me and then down to his “I don’t know.” He whispered. “No problem. How about we watch Cars?” I said warmly. I can understand him still being scare but I hope he get comfortable around me soon. He just nodded still not looking at me.

I opened Netflix and played Cars. Sitting back I looked at Ryan and he hasn’t yet took a bite of pizza. Ryan looked at tv and then his plate then again movie. I frowned in concern. Maybe he didn’t like it. “Hey baby. Why aren’t you eating? Do you not like it? I can make something else or we can order something else?” I suggested leaning towards him. Ryan looked at me scared. “You didn’t say I can eat.” It broke my heart. His voice was broken and scared. I could see his glossy eyes. “I’m sorry. Please don’t punish me. I’ll be good.” He said trembling.

“No. No. Baby you don’t have to be scared. And no one is going to punish you love. You are a good boy. I won’t hurt you you don’t have to be scared of me or anyone for the matter.” I said slowly moving towards him to not startled him. I opened my arms for the hug letting him decide if he wants a hug. He hesitantly hugged me and I tighten my hold but being careful of his wounds. “You have nothing to be scared of now. No one will hurt you. I won’t let them. Remember I made a promise to you. Also,” I pulled back and cupped his face wiping his tears. “You don’t need permission to eat. Whenever you want to eat you can. Whenever you want to play you play well except when it’s time for homework of course. You do whatever you want unless it’s not harmful. I want you to be as comfortable as possible in this house. This is now your home too.”

Ryan looked me in the eyes and nodded. I smiled at him and kissed his forehead. “Now come on, love. Let’s enjoy this pizza. If you don’t like them you tell me and we can have something else. Okay?” I asked rubbing his back. Ryan looked at me and smiled and gave a small okay. He is so cute.

After that we ate and watched movies with laughter and I’m happy to say that we made progress today. He even cuddled with me. Man my heart is a muddle right now.

Soon we had finished our dinner and now I’m giving him tour of the house. I have picked him up carefully. We started with the basement,where I showed him the theatre room and gaming room. The gym was opposite of the gaming and theater.

Then I should him the kitchen and the living room and two guest rooms which were there. Then on the next floor was my room, Amber’s room and now Ryan’s room. There was also a pool in the backyard with a grilling area and a small garden.

Every room and place I showed him he was in awe and his eyes sparkled when he saw game room and his room. I asked him if there was any thing that he needed to add or remove he can tell. There were some clothes which I had ordered online but other than that his closet was pretty much empty which would be filled soon.

“So how do you like the house? We could change anything you want.” I asked as I set him on the bed. Ryan looked at me and smiled with tears in his eyes. “Hey baby what happened? It’s ok if you don’t like the room. We can change it however you want” I said kneeling in front of him and holding his hand. Ryan just looked at him and immediately hugged me. I heard him wince but he dismissed it. “Carefully kid.” I said softly hugging him back.

“Everything is perfect, Alex. Thank you so much for taking me in. Thank you for everything. Nobody has done this much for me.” I smiled at his words. “I’ll do everything I can to make you happy here. You are now my little brother after all.” I said smiling at him. Ryan pulled back smiled at me nodding while wiping his face. “Now it’s late let’s get you ready for bed.”

I helped Ryan change his clothes then gave him his medicine and tucked him to bed. Kissing him on the forehead I left once when he was asleep. As I was walking out I thought of something then left.
