Alex’s POV

It has been a few days since the fight and now we are back to our routine. Ryan’s ribs are healing well now. And he has gain some weight due to eating properly. Also he has been accompanying me to the gym even if it’s for work. And it’s not that I mind. I’m not really comfortable with me leaving him alone with a stranger who has to babysit him. I would take help of Amber but she too has work.

Also I had registered Ryan in the school which is fortunately in my school. They don’t usually give admission in the middle of the school year but with the help of Ryan’s social worker they made an exemption. When I told Ryan about going to school he was so happy but nervous at the same time. Today is his first day at school and we are in the car right now.

Since Ryan hasn’t fully recovered, car was the safest option. Also we have to pick up Amber. “So buddy, are you sure you are feeling good to go to school. Like no pain, no uncomfortableness right?” I asked him as I turned into Amber’s driveway. I looked behind at him when he replied, “No. no pain. I want to go to school.” I smiled and nodded. “But I’m scared.” He said quietly. “Why are you scared baby?” I asked reaching for his hand. “What if no one wants to be my friends? What if others makes fun of me? What if I they don’t like me? What if-‘ He started ranting so I stopped him. “Listen baby. No one is going to make fun of you. If they do remember your sister is there for you. Amber is there. Dominic and Noah are also there. If other children trouble you, you call me not the teacher, okay?" He nodded. ”You do have the phone that I bought you right?” He looked at me and nodded. “Good.”

I heard the car door open and saw Amber getting in. She looked at me and then Ryan and smiled, “Hey buddy. Excited for the first day?” Amber asked. Ryan looked at me and then smiled a big smile before replying yess. I smiled at his answer and then started driving towards the school.

Throughout the ride Amber and Ryan were singing or rather screaming the songs. We reached in 20 minutes because we had to stop to get Starbucks and chocolate shake. I parked the car in my usual spot and got out with Amber and then went to open Ryan’s door. When I saw him looking down while twiddling his thumbs, I turned around to face him. “Listen love, you have nothing to be afraid of. I’ll be near by. Dom, Noah and Am would be too. You are a brave boy okay?” I said looking him in the eyes to make sure he understands me.

Ryan looked at me and nodded his head looking more relaxed now. I smiled at him and got out of the car. I went and opened the back door to help him out. “Let’s go.” I said. I could feel the eyes of students on us but I didn’t paid any attention. Amber was making sure to distract Ryan from all the stares we were getting. Just as we reached the entrance for pre school section I saw Dom and Noah waiting there for us.

“Hey guys.” I said as we reached them. Dom had wore white tshirt with pink jacket and blue ripped jeans and let me tell you he was looking hot. Uhggg why am I thinking that way. “Hey girls and Ryan.” The boys replied. From the corner of my eye I saw Noah check out Amber. I smirked and looked at him. When he saw I had caught him he immediately looked somewhere else with his cheeks red.

We all went to drop Ryan at his classroom. When we reached there Ryan wouldn’t let go of me. I kneel down to his level and held his hand. “It’s ok baby, remember what I said earlier. No one going to harm you. No one is going to trouble you. If there is any problem you call me or Amber or any of the boys.” Ryan looked at me with a nervous look. I smiled at him and told him to close his eyes. “Take a deep breath in… And let it go.”

He opened his eyes and smiled at me and hugged me "I love you big sis." I felt my heart melt. “I love you too Sweetie.” I kissed his forehead and let him go in the class. Amber put a hand on my shoulder “Oh my God that was so emotional, I’m gonna cry.” Noah screeched dramatically while waving his hand infront of his eyes as if to stop tears. I and Amber chuckled while Dom face palmed himself muttering drama queen.
