I sat there in designer dresses and satin sheets with expensive coffee and candies oh so sweet,
I'd never purchase any of this for myself but that was the love he offered so I accepted sitting on a shelf.
I took the hits of time not spent, I grieved the absence of my father at events but hey at least there's money in the bank and at least he says I love you over text.
So I sit there in designer dresses and vent through the best and I sit and I think and I wait,
Because that is the love he gives me and whatever I can get I take.
Heavy on the daddy issues for this one
something freshman-in-college me wishes I could tell younger me is that it got better
we stand with Palestine
