My Mind; A Collection

~Writer~

I am a writer.

I am not an author,

I am not a poet.

I don't truly understand what I'm saying and what I'm showing.

My words are a mess on this page of ink,

And if I were you I wouldn't know what to think.

I can never write when I am happy.

I only write when I feel crappy.

This isn't God send poetry,

This isn't a growing up novel,

This doesn't even rhyme.

I am a writer but I don't know what I'm writing,

My hands are puppets and my soul calls the shots.

I am a writer,

That's all I am.
