When people ask me if I fought for you don't lie,
Tell them the nights I spent longing for a cure,
The hours I spent agonizing over how to change the curve.
How I tried to tell you how I felt,
The nights you told me there was nothing else,
The ways I tried to change the line of our story,
The lies you spread in search of glory.
In the aftermath you glow,
As I am blamed for how the story goes.
But I was the one fighting,
I'm still fighting now that it's over,
For you couldn't really ever let go.
oh how I love being a woman
we stand with Palestine
