~Is It Real?~

I don't want to kiss you or say the word love.

I'm not sappy and I don't enjoy hugs.

I question it from time to time, I force myself to wait just a minute and give myself the grace I was never given.

I didn't grow up with good love stories, only fractured hearts and muddy quarrels.

So when I don't know what healthy looks like just give me a second to unfurl.

I don't say the word 'love' when it comes to men,
