I don't want to fall in love with a guy.

I want to fall back in love,

To face nostalgia with something other than disgust.

I want to fall back in love with a bright world gone dull,

I want to hear melodies in the pounding of my skull.

I want to see the bright green of the grass,

Instead of the concrete I've fallen on.

I want to see the beauty in walking,

Rather than huffing and puffing.

To see the sun rising instead of just setting.

I want to love every day because it exists,

To go back to living life in an eternal bliss.

But adulthood is like a rock,

Shattering my rose tinted glasses,

Breaking me into a dark dark world,

Where I am a pile of ashes.
