Author's Pov

Aurora steadily unlatched her eyes finding herself in the same position where she slept last night, she let out a shaky breath swallowing hard. She couldn't help but wince which each movement her body made, she felt like she will split into two anytime, the memories that haunt her for years still felt fresh to her, and instead of trying to get rid of them like she initially wanted to, now she held those memories close her heart, she knew she deserved the torment they granted her.

Her swollen red eyes moved towards the room where she was left by the man who supposedly returned to take revenge on her and her father, a small smile appeared on her lips. Revenge? Her Ace wanted revenge from his Aurora, and if hurting, torturing and killing her each second would bring happiness to him then she was ready. She was willing to endure any pain he was planning to reward for the sins she committed against him if it was what he wanted.

Once her Ace made sure to bring happiness to her feet even if in the process he was hurting, now she will follow the past him even if in the process it would kill her.

Her eyes roamed around the place which was her room now as commanded by the dangerous man, her aching blue crystals flickered in surprise taking everything into consideration. There was no bed, only a small mattress along with a thin cover in another corner of the room, there was an open bathroom which was covered with a long cloth hung in front of it, and lastly her eyes fell on the only table placed near the mattress which had a water cooler on it.

She wasn't shocked because of the prisoner like settings but it reminded her the room she only once visited in the past. Ace's room. She remembered it was at a small distance from the basement, except for the kitchen his room had everything but the way it was furnished and build was poorer than the rooms their servants had. She only visited his room when she wanted to accept his proposal in the past and couldn't stand there for more than five minutes, even though Ace made sure to use air freshener to keep the disgusting smell of the open bathroom away, Aurora just wasn't used to staying in such repulsive place.

Again, thinking about all those years Ace spend his days and nights in that nasty room she couldn't help but feel an intense tug at her heart, she could have saved him, maybe not out of love but at least due to humanity. She had her father wrapped around her little finger, it wasn't hard for her to convince him to give Ace a better room, she could have but she didn't.

Her eyes steadily fell on the floor staring at the concrete surface with blank gaze, she wasn't always like that, she was a good girl once, she did good deeds as well, then what went wrong? When did she become so self conceited, selfish and heartless? She couldn't even bring the memories of the times she actually behaved like a human in her mind, seemed like those good memories were overshadowed by the terrible ones she deliberately made.

Unconsciously, she moved her tied hand and a small shriek erupted her throat when the sharp razors pierced in her already bruised wrist, she squeezed her eyes shut in pure agony and pain, she felt like her wrist bone will snap anytime, her eyes filled with excruciating pain parted once again letting them fall on the man that stepped in, he indeed was truthful to his words.

No living being except him appeared before her from the time she was brought here.

Her stomach ached in the need to attack the tray that he held in his hand, the delicious aroma of the fresh baked lasagna engulfed her nostrils making her tummy twist painfully, the man noticed every shudder her body released, every saliva she swallowed while staring at the food in the tray, and the way her free hand fisted on her stomach trying to stop it from making horrifying noises, but he choose it ignore all of them.

Standing above her, he raised his eyebrows wordlessly, her eyes hungrily watched when he placed the tray on the floor only a few feet away from her, she knew even if she dived for the chance to get that food she wouldn't be able to, he placed it right where she couldn't reach it and if she did try to, her restrained wrist will break. Ace crouched in front her staring at her with his usual poker face that he had mastered in those years before raising his hand.
