The past couple months have been constant unboxing, building, and preparing for the baby. Sage has been growing each day and she has been getting so involved with helping her Dad set up furniture for the nursery and also helping me with the baby's clothes. I was so excited to have them dress up in matching outfits, even if they aren't close in age, I still bought many outfits that match.
As for I, I haven't been leaving the house much. I've only went out if we were going to see family or friends and even then, they would still come over to our house. It's been difficult to move around from how big my bump was, Sage would even try to play drums on it.
We were now getting ready for Sage's seventh birthday party that was in a couple days and I wanted to make it grand. She deserved everything and more. She couldn't come up with one theme, so we ended up just deciding to make the whole party pastel colors and put clouds and rainbows everywhere. The food planning was probably the hardest part because she wanted a candy bar, rolled ice cream station, and wanted a taco bar. But knowing us, we were going to make that happen.
"Sage! Do you want to wear a dress or a romper for your party?" I ask as she runs towards me. She was getting taller and her legs were getting longer and slimmer, I had the sudden urge that she would do good in track.
"Can I wear a romper? I want to be able to play" She asks me and I give her a nod, looking through the millions of outfits we bought to follow along with her birthday design. I pulled out a white romper that had a big rainbow at the back with a unicorn sliding down it.
We had a photoshoot done for her birthday so we could display the pictures around the house and can I just say, my girl is camera ready. I cried looking through each photo and they were all perfect, I don't know how we will display them all, but we will. The bouncy house and ball pit arrived a couple days ago, but we weren't going to blow them up until the day of the party. I was happy that so many people were going to be attending, even some of my friends that haven't met my daughter yet. My whole family and Joe's family were going to be attending. Selena and Gracie, Blake, Ryan and the girls, and Gigi and Khai. Miles and Keleigh were also coming, they couldn't stop texting me on how excited they were to actually see Sage. The Haim sisters were all attending, Jack and his wife were also coming into town. I was excited that my backup singers, band, and dancers were all going to make it as well! We haven't seen each other in such a long time since tour and I was so excited to see them. Even some of my openers were attending, Sabrina and Gracie! I didn't want Sage to be too overwhelmed with all the people, so we made sure to let her know who all was coming, show her pictures, and tell her a little bit about them.
Our pool was finally finished and Sage was excited to be able to swim during her party. I prepared her two piece yellow sunflower bathing suit and hung it behind her door, along with her romper.
While I was watching Joe blow up the floats for the pool, I felt a sharp pain, holding onto my stomach and decided that I needed to sit down. I watched as he was shaking the slide, making sure it was going to stay in put and threw the floats into the pool. Sage yelled out in excitement as she ran around the backyard, making me smile.
"Baby, come here!" I yelled towards Sage and she ran towards me. I placed her onto my lap and held her as we watched her Dad struggle with the pool equipment.
"I can't believe I'll have a seven year old!" I exclaimed, kissing her cheeks, making her move her head away from me. I chuckled, giving her a soft squeeze as her eyes stayed on Joe.
When I thought the pain was over, I felt like it was constantly coming back, making me gasp for air from shock. Sage slightly jumped when I bent forward, holding onto my stomach, but I smiled at her, trying to hide the pain.
