"Sage honey, can you come here?" I asked waving her to the corner of the room where I was sitting on the couch. Joe was out of the room getting some food to bring up so Sage could eat before we needed to head to the stadium.
Sage's attention was fixed onto the T.V., watching a Japanese cartoon and I had no idea if she knew what was going on because it was all in Japanese.
"Sage baby" I called for her again and she huffed and jumped off the bed, running over to me. We had changed her into her outfit for tonight and she looked the absolute cutest.
I ran my fingers through her hair and picked her up so she was sitting on my lap. "Do you remember when you went to my concert for the first time?", I asked.
She nodded her head smiling brightly at me. She had been excited to go for a while and wouldn't stop talking about it. To be honest, I was terrified for tonight. I was terrified for everyone that was going to see her and scared of her reaction to the crowd, now that they knew I had a daughter.
"I want you to stay with Daddy okay? I don't want you to leave his side. Mommy will be on stage the whole night, so I won't be able to check on you. If you run off or get lost, we don't know what could happen to you, promise me you will stay put?" I asked her sternly and she gave me a solid nod.
"Will I get friendship bracelets Mommy? I got so many the first time!" She proudly exclaimed, making me chuckle.
"Of course, I bet you'll get so many!" I tell her, kissing her forehead. I stayed holding her until Joe had came back, indicating that Sage would only have an hour left before we needed to leave.
After getting everything situated, we all headed to the car that was waiting for us at the back entrance of the hotel. Joe buckled Sage in while we both sat next to her on each side. I watched as Sage's facial expressions grew more as we drove into the city, getting closer to the Tokyo Dome.
"Wow, it's so big" Sage says, pointing towards the window. I rubbed the back of her hand with my thumb, mostly to keep myself calm. There were already so many fans waiting outside, I wonder how long they've been there for.
When the car arrived inside the stadium, stopping right in front of the dressing rooms, we all quickly got out. I looked around to see all of my outfits, ready, on display. Sage hurried over to the table that was in the middle of the room, examining all of the snacks. I instructed that no peanuts be allowed in the dressing rooms, so I wasn't worried about what she ate.
"Hey, don't eat so much boo, you might get sick later from being so hyper" Joe tells her, only receiving a glare and she grabs one last cracker and sits down on the couch across the room, watching me as we started with the makeup prep already.
"Mommy, when can I get bracelets?" Sage asks for the tenth time as we finally got done with the makeup process.
"Soon boo, they haven't been let into the stadium yet and you and Daddy will head to the tent right before the show starts" I inform her and watch her expressions as she takes in the information.
Sage helped me choose each outfit I would wear tonight and she had good taste, although she told me she was upset I didn't have enough yellow options.
I didn't have to get dressed until right before the show, so after my hair and makeup was done, I went over to Sage on the couch who I could tell was getting sleepy. I looked at the time and we had already been here for five hours.
"Babe, your phone keeps vibrating" Joe tells me as he hands me my phone. I look to see text messages from Travis. I sigh and shut my phone off, I wasn't in the mood to read them or respond to them anyways. I wanted all of my attention on tonight's show and to also do the best I could for Sage.
