1931...
One month later...
King Damien was getting his final touches. He was fully ready to go to war, he was willing to protect his people, and he would stop at nothing to achieve that.
For a month, he's been preparing, settling, and getting ready to leave his kingdom,
to leave the comfort of his bedroom and castle.
He chose two hundred of his best warriors to go on this journey with him, knowing that he couldn't leave his kingdom unattended. He put Charles in charge of royal duties.
It was finally time to set out as the sun started rising up in the sky, indicating the early hours of the morning.
"Are you ready?" He asked bethy, who stood next to him cloaked up in her protective attire, with determination blazing like a hot rod iron in her eyes.
"As ready as I'll ever be." She replied with a firm nod, sealing her words.
Both of them exited the room and made their way towards the balcony of the castle.
The one that overlooked the whole city, there on the magnificent castle ground, stood two hundred warriors, each with their horses by their side.
The little murmuring and whispers came to a screeching halt once they felt the demanding presence of their king.
The place was dead silent as Damien looked down to his people and spoke.
"As you all know, a game has been ending the lives of our people...,children, parents, relatives, Blood had been shed over these past few months, our blood has been spilt on our lands, and this! Can not go on any longer, I have personally handpicked each and every one of you because I see strength and resilience in you..."
He took a silent pause, gently looking in the eye of every man across the ground.
"I want to let you know, that just like every war, we might not return home the way we leave, but we have to do this for our people and I appreciate the fact that you all found the courage to leave your homes, just to protect the lives of others, your sacrifice shall not go to waste and we will return Victorious at the end of the day."
He completed his little speech as his voice bounced off the walls, leaving every single man present determined and willing to fight for something better.
Their safety.
Damien looked over to Bethy after he dismissed his men to start mounting the horses.
"Now listen to me baby, I want you to know how God dammed proud of you I am, you came such a long way, and you've grown into a beautiful and courageous lady, I can't thank you enough for wanting to take this step by coming with me but promise me that you'll stay by my side at all cost and you'll do your best to stay safe even if I somehow happen to not be there with you along the way." He said while gently cupping her cheeks.
"My people need their queen, but i--i need my baby." He added to his words.
"I promise." Was Bethy's reply as she gazed into his eyes.
"You're a strong man, Damien, and your people love you, so do I, come on, let's do this for them."
She was ready to go to any length to end it all.
Even if it meant sacrificing herself, Damien didn't need to know that.
King Damien had a private moment with his brother Charles and the heads of the kingdom.
After settling all his affairs, he exited his castle and kingdom, mounted on his horse with Gruno, Bethy, and his men by his side.
Once he reached the borders of his land, he looked over it one last time before he headed onto his life changing journey

Three days and two nights spent on the road, with constant stopping to rest,
"How much longer, sir?" Ahmad, Damiens head of warriors and right-hand man in security affairs question.
"Why do you ask Ahmad? Are you that tired?" Damien said.
They both led the rest of the group on. Their horses, bethy leading beside Damien to his left, while Ahmad stood to his right.
"We're on the right track. We'll soon be there, hopefully." Bethy said.
"Do you think we'll make it before dawn?" He asked.
"We'll surely reach the borders before Dawm." She replied.
The rode on their horses for long hours before they saw an old rusty sign board which said, "Welcome to ------, the land of the Nobel, where everyone is family."
"Touche." A guard said from the back in mockery.
"What wad that?" Damien's loud voice questioned.
Luckily for the guard, no one pointed him out.
"Stay focused. We have one mission, and that's to capture the witch behind all the mess created back home and be careful."
They replied with firm nods.
Damien took a deep breath and walked into the lands of Nevada, home of the peaceful.
He was followed shortly by Bethy on her white stallion horse, and the rest did the same.
The pathway that led into the city was empty and dusty.
They walked for an approximate ten to fifteen minutes before they arrived at the centre of the city (the village square)
Tears welled up in Bethy's eyes at the sight before her eyes.
Houses were burnt down to ashes, dried blood stained the walls of abandon market shops, the trees looked dry and not a single leave could be spotted on the branches, everything looked abandoned and destroys, with no sign of a single living creature.
Although Bethy had flashing memories of how her people slowly killed one another in brutal ways, she could still hear the loud screams and the look of horror on the children's faces.
A shiver ran down her spine, she lowered her head in shame as she thought of how she ran, how she practically left her people, but at that point in time, there wasn't much she could do.
If she had stayed, then she would have also been killed.
"There doesn't seem to be a sign of a living creature, your highness. " Gruno said.
Damien looked over at Bethy, cheeking to see the state in which she was in, considering the fact that she's finally standing in her homeland and having to witness the destruction all over again.
He passed on an encouraging smile towards her way.
A soft smile gently grazed his cheek as he saw how she was holding up.
That's my woman
He thought and smirked in pride.
"We'll find a safe spot to settle in and raise our tents for the night. It's already really dark, and we'll proceed tomorrow morning."
Damien ordered his men, and they followed his instruction by finding a spot to camp for the night.
