Chapter 21: (your pov)

As the evening descended upon us, casting long shadows across the garden, I found myself standing amidst a sea of unfamiliar faces, each one watching with bated breath as Jungkook prepared to depart on his mission. His family and relatives had gathered to bid him farewell, their expressions a mix of pride and apprehension as they wished him luck on his journey. I was ashamed to stand here but just like always no one dared to say a word against the assualt which was visible on my face.

I stood at the edge of the crowd, a silent observer to the scene unfolding before me. It was a surreal moment, watching as Jungkook prepared to leave once again, this time with his brothers by his side.

As Jungkook made his way towards me, his gaze locked on mine with a fierce intensity that sent a shiver down my spine. There was a determination in his eyes, a resolve to face whatever dangers lay ahead with unwavering courage.

Jungkook: Aaira.

His voice was soft, barely above a whisper as he knelt before me, his eyes never leaving mine. I could feel the weight of his gaze, the silent plea for understanding and forgiveness that hung in the air between us.

Jungkook: I know I've made mistakes, Aaira. I've hurt you in ways that I can never fully apologize for, but I want you to know that I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. Will you give me another chance? Not just for me, but for us, for our son, for our family.

His words were like a dagger to my heart I WAS NOT THE PERSON HE WAS CONFESSING TO, I was not his Aaira. a painful reminder of the love he had shared with her and the way he treats me thinking of me as her has torn me apart. But even as I struggled to find the words to respond, a part of me couldn't help but be drawn to him, to the promise of redemption that lay within his gaze.

Y/n: Jungkook...

My voice trailed off, lost amidst the tumult of emotions that churned within me. But Jungkook didn't need words to understand my answer, for in that moment, our eyes met in a silent understanding that transcended words.

Jungkook: I understand your doubts, Aaira. And I won't pretend that rebuilding what we've lost will be easy. But I'm willing to fight for us, to prove to you that I'm worthy of your love.

His sincerity was palpable, a beacon of hope amidst the storm of my doubts. Yet, a lingering fear held me back, a fear of reliving the heartache of the past.

Y/n: What if... What if you don't come back?

The words escaped my lips before I could stop them, a raw admission of the fear that gripped my heart. Jungkook's gaze softened, his thumb tracing soothing circles on the back of my hand.

Jungkook: I promise you, Aaira, I will return to you. No matter what dangers lie ahead, my love for you will guide me home. I understand your doubts, Aaira. And I won't pretend that rebuilding what we've lost will be easy. But I'm willing to fight for us, to prove to you that I'm worthy of your love.

And as he rose to his feet, a sense of determination burning brightly in his eyes, I knew that no matter what trials lay ahead, he would face them. He was standing near to me as he slowly started leaning in.

Jungkook: I never saw you wearing that necklace which I gifted you on our first night ? There was not even a single day you didn't wear it.

He whispered and With a final glance in my direction, Jungkook turned and joined his brothers, the weight of their mission hanging heavy in the air between them.

And as I watched them disappear into the darkness, a single thought echoed in my mind, a prayer whispered into the night.

May they return safely, may they find the peace and redemption they seek, but at the same time I wished may the innocent one win.
