Chapter 38: (Your pov)

The ball went smoothly. The night was filled with polite conversations and forced smiles. As the guests left, the mansion became quiet. Jungkook's brothers were staying over, making the house feel full but silent.

Late at night, Jungkook entered the room. He started taking off his shirt slowly. I sat on the bed, watching him. He came toward me and lay down beside me. The smell of his strong, manly perfume filled the air, mixed with a hint of sweat from the evening's activities.

Jungkook closed his eyes, clearly tired. I was still sitting beside him. His abs shone under the dim light, reminding me of his strength. He moved on the bed, making it creak softly with each shift.

I watched him for a while, feeling the weight of the secrets I held. His breathing became slow and steady, showing he was falling asleep. I lay down beside him, trying to look calm, even though my mind was full of fear and worry.

As the night grew darker, I found it hard to sleep. I kept thinking about the strange sign in the garden and the "five days" warning. What did it mean? Who put it there? I knew I had to find out, but I also had to be careful. Jungkook couldn't know I was worried, or he would get suspicious.

Jungkook's brothers were staying in the house. Lord Kim Namjoon and Lord Jung Hoseok, the twins, were at the bar, talking quietly. Lord Min Yoongi, Lord Park Jimin, and Lord Kim Taehyung were in a corner, chatting about something. I noticed Lord Seokjin, the eldest brother, looking perfectly fine. Jungkook had said he was hurt, but he didn't seem injured at all. Why would Jungkook lie about that?

As I lay there, trying to piece everything together, I decided I had to find Aaira's diary. I needed answers, and the diary might help me understand what was going on. I waited until the house was completely quiet, everyone asleep, before making my move.

Carefully, I slipped out of bed and tiptoed to the closet door. I opened it slowly, making sure it didn't creak. The hallway closet was dark and empty. I moved quietly, trying to remember where I might have hidden her diary, i remember I was afraid in the evening and I hid it in the closet.

I had to be quick and silent. If anyone found me, I would be in big trouble. And especially if jungkook sees me. I moved towards the Almirah door and pulled out the diary. Back in bed, I opened the diary and started reading. Aaira's words painted a picture.

Dear journal,

It was late-nearly 4 am-and I found myself sitting on the dresser, waiting for Jungkook. He hadn't returned home yet, and the quiet of the mansion felt oppressive. The minutes dragged on, each one an eternity. My thoughts were consumed with Aimin. How was he doing without us? Did he miss us? Was he crying for us? The uncertainty gnawed at my heart, making it hard to breathe.

I was lost in these thoughts when the door creaked open. Jungkook stumbled into the room, the strong smell of alcohol and sweat filled the air. His eyes were glazed, and he moved with the unsteady gait of someone who had had too much to drink. My heart sank at the sight of him in such a state.

"My lord?"

I whispered, my voice barely audible.

He looked at me, his eyes struggling to focus.

Jungkook: "Aaira,"

He slurred, taking a step towards me.

Jungkook: "I'm... I'm sorry. I drank...."

I rose from the dresser, my worry for him intensified.

"What happened?"

I asked softly, reaching out to steady him.
