Chapter 46: (Your pov)

When I opened my eyes, I found myself inside a carriage. The rocking motion and the sound of wheels on the cobblestone were the first things I noticed. My body felt paralyzed, a dull ache spreading through every limb. I tried to move, but nothing responded. Panic set in, and I closed my eyes again, hoping to escape the reality of my situation, even if just for a moment.

I never realized where we were going until the carriage stopped somewhere. Jungkook stepped out before me, he opened the gate for me, my eyes were closed as i tried to open them, I saw Jungkook kneeling down in front of me. I was paralyzed, my body refusing to move.

It took me a moment to realize he was crying, his shoulders shaking as he looked both small and big at the same time, filled with raw emotion. His voice was barely a whisper as he joined his hands in front of me, pleading,

Jungkook: Please tell me where my wife is, I beg you.

The desperation in his eyes broke my heart, but I had no answer for his question.

Frustrated from no response from me, he smiled sadly at my side, his nose red from tears.

Jungkook: I beg you, I swear please tell me where my wife is, i can't lose her.

I had no answer, what answer could I probably provide him ?

Jungkook: I swear, no one here would say a word to you, no one here would lay a hand on you, no one. Just tell me where my wife is.

As if I knew, only if I had an idea about his wife, i would have been back to my place, not here paralyzed in front of him, I wanted to mock him, laugh at his fragile self in front of me, but instead tears started leaving my eyes.

I love to see him suffer in front of me.

Jungkook: I'm asking you for the last time, Where is she ?

I chuckled lightly, I could barely move my head but I still turned my head as no.

Jungkook pulled me into his embrace. I could barely move, my eyes struggling to stay open. I noticed the path outside was paved with dark grey basalt, the kind of stone commonly found in the mountains and near woods.

I saw carriages lined up one by one. A towering church loomed ahead, its stone façade weathered and ancient. The carvings depicted strange, almost grotesque figures intertwined with images of dragons and other mythical beasts. The entire structure exuded an air of antiquity and mystery, as if it belonged to another world entirely. The towering spires seemed to pierce the sky, casting long shadows that added to the eerie atmosphere.

It took my mind a moment to realize we were at the same place Aaira mentioned in her journal. Panic surged through me, but my body was too weak to move, too weak to protest. It was as if I had lost my vocal cords; I couldn't speak. Tears streamed down my face, silent witnesses to my terror.

I can't go there. No. I can't be the next bait.

My heart pounded in my chest, each beat a desperate plea for escape. The more I struggled internally, the more helpless I felt. Every fiber of my being screamed for me to run, to fight, but my body remained a prisoner to its weakness.

Jungkook: Don't worry, Y/n. This will all be over soon.

His words sent a chill down my spine. As he carried me towards the church, I could feel the weight of my impending fate crushing down on me. The entrance loomed closer, the grotesque carvings seeming to mock my helplessness.

Inside, the air was thick and musty, filled with the scent of damp stone and ancient wood. The dim light barely illuminated the vast, shadowy interior. Jungkook carried me through the nave, past rows of worn pews, towards a darkened corridor that seemed to stretch into oblivion.
