Chapter 16: Injury

"...Bakugo-"
Midoriya's eyes widened as he realized just what the situation really was.
"They're here to hurt him- or take him hostage even. I have to protect him but I can't let these two out of my sights...

Kurogiri is the biggest problem as of now, if he manages to corner Bakugo alone he'll easily be able to take him hostage. I need to finish up this fight as fast as I can"
He thought to himself, the speed of his punches increasing.
His hands appeared to be nothing but blurs of speed, the Nomu was struggling to keep up.

It screamed, frustrated that nothing was working.
Midoriya remained unphased as he watched it's speed slowly begin to falter.
He only increased his speed, realizing he didn't have the luxury to waste time.

"Woah professor Midoriya!"
Kirishima outbursted, close enough to be within earshot but far enough not to interfere.

"What the hell"
Bakugo muttered, battered and out of breath.

Midoriya looked ahead and found Kirishima and Bakugo standing there, both evidently injured to an evident degree. He grit his teeth, "drat."
the man turned around and found the duo standing there.
"You two! Get out of here!"
Midoriya yelled, gaining Aizawa's attention.
Aizawa had still been dealing with the never ending surplus of thugs that seemed to just continuously keep rising.

The man turned around, "would you look at that.
Two UA students."
He chuckled, realizing the new found advantage he had.
"And one of you are familiar"
He mumbled under his breath.

He charged straight for them.
Midoriya's eyes widened as he mustered up one large attack with as much power as he could exert straight to the Nomu's jaw.
The nomu, having been worn out from the sheer strength of all the punches he had been receiving, was knocked out almost immediately. It's exposed brain could not handle the jolt.
It was a risky move Midoriya had pulled, one without a guarantee of success.

The nomu fell to the ground, Midoriya sprinted passed it and charged straight for the man who was getting closer to the duo.
But before Midoriya could reach, a warp gate opened up Infront of him.

It didn't transport him anywhere as he ran right through it, but it did momentarily block his vision which could be costly.
He absorbed the gate with an outstretched hand and sent it out Infront of the man.

The man ran right through it and appeared 70 feet in the air, falling.

Midoriya caught up to Bakugo and kirishima, he stood in front of them and shielded them with his outstretched hands.
Midoriya let out a slight pant as he watched the man fall into another gate and appear 7 feet away from him completely fine.

"Explain to me what happened, why are you two still here and injured?"
Midoriya asked, his eyes locked on the enemy.

"We were about to run out the gate when some purple smoke guy named Kurogiri blocked us off.
Bakugo tried fighting him and then he just teleported us somewhere random in this place.
We were teleported straight to a group of thugs who were trying to attack us-"
Kirishima explained, cut off by Bakugo.

"they were small fries!"
Bakugo shouted.

"if they weren't strong they wouldn't have been able to cause you injury."
Midoriya commented.
He expected a response, but there was none.
He quickly turned around and found the two had gone missing and had reappeared just beside the man.

"DIE"
Bakugo screamed, sending out mass explosions at the man and quickly springing to his feet to fight back.
None of his explosions landed, a warp gate had opened up and prevented it.
