...

"The sports festival"
Midoriya said, bringing up the new topic.

"Oh yeah the sports festival.
It's in a month according to Mr. Aizawa."

"With your current skill set, you have a chance at winning. If you fight really hard that is, and even then you aren't guaranteed.

Within this month that has to change.

You'll need to be strong enough that the sports festival is a walk in the park."
Midoriya stated, walking over to his bookshelf and grabbing a new book.

"Is there something going on? Aizawa sensei also told us we had to win."
Bakugo asked, completely confused.

"There are 2 reasons.

My reason for this is that you need to prove you're strong.
The heroes won't be the only ones watching the festival, the villains will be too.
Analyzing your every move and evaluating you.

If your best fighting ability is barely able to scrape you up to #1, they'll be aware you're weak.
Yes you may have won first place, but that only goes to show that the remaining students aren't too strong either.

You'll need to be strong enough that you won't even have to try so you can win, that way when the villains see it they aren't able to get a grasp on exactly how strong you are. "
Midoriya explained.

"huh that makes sense. So underwhelm them basically?
What's the second reason? "
Bakugo asked further.

"the second reason is that every year when the sports festival is held, it becomes competition.
Not just for the students, but also the teachers here at UA.
Class 1-A and Class 1-B have intense rivalry, and whoever loses makes their teacher look bad too.

Aizawa probably said it the way he did so he wouldn't let you all know of this years long competition, so that rumor doesn't go around that he's plotting against 1-B.

So don't go around speaking of it. "
Midoriya said, flipping through the book.

"so it's about being the best"

"I guess you could say that"

"Ha!
I have this in the bag then. When do I start training again?"

"Tomorrow, after all your wounds are healed up."

Water dripped from a barely closed tap, hitting the metal sink before going down the drain. A cool breeze flew on past, whistling through the air. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee was flowing through the air, adding on to the warmth of the room which acted as a shield from the brutal cold that awaited outside.

Midoriya sat in the teacher's lounge, enjoying a content break with a cup of coffee and a good book.
It was almost the end of the school day and he didn't have any classes to teach so he took sometime out of his lab.
Additionally, there was also a staff meeting to be held there shortly so he went ahead and got comfortable early on.

The dismissing bell rang, breaking the comfortable silence of the empty hallways as they were shortly flooded with students in a rush to get home.
It wasn't long til the teacher's lounge was full of teachers.

"Hello everyone, I've called today's meeting to discuss recent events"
Principal Nezu began, sitting at the head of a large wooden table.
Midoriya sat directly across from him, at the second head of the table.

All around were the staff of UA, all compromised of pro heroes.

"As you are all aware of by now, yesterday the USJ was attacked. The league of villains, a newly emerged group, came with the goal to kill all might.
Though, because he wasn't present, they went on to continue the attack and hurt the students.
