Chapter 28: Celebration

"KATSUKI BAKUGO WINS THE SPORTS FESTIVAL!"
Present Mic cheered as confetti was fired from canons that decorated the stadium and arena. 
He stood there in the midst of all the streamers, celebrating his win.

"I DID IT. I WON THE FESTIVAL! HA! THEY HAD TO HOLD ME BACK AND I STILL WON!"
Bakugo grinned, throwing his hands up in victory.

Midoriya shook his head, "he got Todoroki to use his fire just to do that. his arms are actively bruising and it doesn't look like he's aware. His explosions were turning blue.
He must've used an even higher percentage of OFA which resulted in the injury to his arms. He'll need to get some healing from recovery girl."
He thought to himself, getting up.

"my arms hurt like hell"
Bakugo thought to himself,looking at his arms as he walked out of the arena. The arena had to be set up for the closing out ceremony.
"they're turning purple,did I break a bone?? I can't tell, I have so much adrenaline right now. I think I used a higher output of OFA, my explosions towards the end didn't feel like my regular high power ones."
He shook his head, really feeling the pain begin to amp up. He continued down the hall when he found mido walking towards him.

"I did it! I won!"
Bakugo cheered, his arms dangling by his sides.

"You did.
But you also broke your arms. Come on, we have to go to recovery girl before the medals are handed out"
Midoriya said, sighing as he took him to recovery girl.

"I think I used more of OFA towards the end"
Bakugo commented, following Midoriya.

"You think?
Did you see yourself at all? Your explosions started turning blue"
Midoriya scoffed, shaking his head.

"they turned blue???"

"yeah, first time I ever saw it"

"Ha! Now that guy has to be wary of me"

"your performance should have warded him off for a bit now.
But for now, let's focus on getting you healed up."
Midoriya said as they walked into recovery girl's room.

"how many I hel-
Oh my God, you broke your arms!"
Recovery girl said, quickly taking Bakugo aside.
"what did you do??"

"I over exerted myself."
Bakugo replied.

"that's not good. Breaking bones is bad.
But you did a great job! I was watching from my screen. Congratulations on winning"
She said, using her quirk to heal him up.
The purple disappeared and Bakugo's arms went right back to normal.
He felt a wave of fatigue wash over him as he struggled to stand up. They made their way out of the office, Bakugo basically wobbled on his feet, using the wall to remain standing.
"How am I going to stand on the podium like this?"
He thought to himself.

"Here"
Midoriya said, handing him two items.

"What is this?"
Bakugo asked,looking at the beaker and snack bar.

"Energy agent. Made to restore energy to the body. Side effect is minor, you'll have a hard time sleeping tonight and you'll have a bit of a stomach ache. The snack is to give something for the agent to work with.
Eat the snack first,then drink that"
Midoriya replied.

"hell yeah, thanks"
Bakugo said, gratefully accepting the snack. He read the label, "spicy shrimp chips. These are my favorite, how did he know?"
He thought to himself,opening up the bag and eating them by the handful.  He quickly finished them up and then drank the agent. It wasn't even moments later when he felt the effects take place, the fatigue and exhaustion was all gone.

"Feel better?"
Midoriya asked,pausing in his step as they reached the point where they had to split up.

"Better than that! I feel like I could fight in another festival!"
Bakugo yelled in reply.
