CHAPTER 7

"Nagbibiro lang ako kanina." Sabi ko habang hila-hila ako ni Trevence palabas ng bahay ni Caiden.

Nagpaalam ako ng maayos sa kaibigan ko bago kami umalis, they don't want me to go home but this man won't let me stay. Kanina pa sya tahimik and it bothers me.

Iniisip ko na baka siniryoso nya ang sinabi ko kanina. Hindi ko naman gustong sabihin iyon. That's not me I swear!. Hindi ako 'yon basta nalang iyong lumabas sa bibig ko. Baka alter ego ko 'yon.

Kahit kailan hindi sumagi sa isip ko iyon, kanina lang. That's not decent for a teenager girl like me. It sounds like I'm a flirt.

"Biro lang iyon, Trev." I wanted to cry. Kanina nya pa ako hindi pinapansin, parang ang lalim ng iniisip nya. "Do not take it seriously---"

"Alam ko!" he shouted but he doesn't look mad. "Hindi totoo ang sinabi mo pero ang sinabi ko... I mean it. I want a cuddle until we both fell asleep that's why I won't take you home, I'll take you to my place."

Nanlaki ang mata ko agad akong umiling. "I don't want that. Cuddling is for the couple only, walang tayo at hindi magandang tingnan kung magkakasama na naman tayo sa iisang kwarto." I reasoned.

"Then let's be together."

Napangiwi ako. Hindi ako makapaniwala sa mga sinasabi nya. Just because he wants a cuddle for tonight he'll let himself to get tied with me in a relationship. That's bullshit, I can't stop myself from cursing inside my head.

Does he even know what's the meaning of being in a relationship, what's its consequences and responsibilities. I bet he's not, if he does and if he's in a right mind, he wouldn't said that.

I maybe young but I know it's meaning. You'll let yourself enter in a relationship if you both love each other. Entering in this intimate relationship is not like playing bahay-bahayan, it takes a lot of responsibility, a commitment.

"I can't. Let's stop this nonsense conversation. Uuwi na ako." Biglang sumakit ang ulo ko dahil sa kanya.

"Bakit?. Is it because of your boy, Carl. May gusto ka sa kanya kaya nalayo ka sa'kin, is that it?"

Kumunot ang noo ko. I looked at him in disbelief. Bakit nadamay si Carl sa usapan namin.

"He's nothing to deal with it. Ayaw ko lang talaga. Tapos."

Umiling sya, his green eyes darkened. "No may iba pang dahilan kaya ayaw mo and I'm sure he's one of the reason---"

"Hindi nga magandang tingnan para sa dalagang katulad ko na matulog kasama mo! Kahit sinong makaalam ng tungkol dito iba ang iisipin. Mama mo nga iba na agad ang inisip ng makita tayo, ibang tao pa kaya?. And it's not easy to enter a relationship if you do not know it's real meaning, besides you're with Amara. Stop bothering me, go home! sya ang i-cuddle mo dahil sya ang girlfriend mo, 'wag ako!."

"Amara? I'm not with her, she's just a friend!"

Nagulat ako sa sinabi nya pero hindi ko pinahalata. Is he telling the truth? Walang sila? Pero bakit iyon ang sinasabi ni Amara. Oh, right. He's lying. Sinasabi nya na walang sila para pumayag ako sa gusto nya. It's a no, he can't fool me.

Kung alam ko lang na ganito ang kalalabasan ng sinabi ko sana hinayaan ko nalang syang sumama kay Sofia. Kung alam ko lang na mauuwi kami sa pagtatalo, sana hindi nalang ako nagsalita.

"If you keep on forcing me do the things that I don't want. I'll report this to my parents."

"Then go tell them, hindi ako natatakot. I'll take the responsibility, whatever it cause."
