As the month of February creeps in, the alluring holiday of Valentine's Day draws near. And what better way to celebrate than with a thrilling book contest?
This competition is open to all lovers of romance, whether...
The first chapter was very engaging and left the reader wanting more. It introduced the characters and plot from the start, without giving away too much.
The descriptions were excellent, and the entire chapter has plenty of potential. I am betting that the first chapter's quality will carry over to the rest of the book.
The mature scenes were written appropriately, without exaggerating anything. They were direct, but written in a literary style that included the character's emotions.

The first chapter is compelling, and I gave it extra points for the positive relationship the male character has with his father.
It provided more insight into the life of the main male character and concluded with a plot twist.
I liked how the author presented the female character indirectly, through the male character's thoughts.
The book has some interesting premises, and as I mentioned earlier, there is a surprise at the end of the chapter.
The text format was the only issue I encountered. By that, I mean that it would have been more organized if some sentences had been written independently of the others.

Though I was not overly fond of the second person viewpoint, the first chapter was decent. I just simply prefer first-person perspective, which does not imply that this book is bad. Instead, I was glad that you steered clear of the 'y/n' genre.
The writing flowed well and would probably grab the attention of readers. It was not as influential to me because I am not a fan of these kinds of books. Again, this is just a matter of preference; it is not because it is bad.
