Y/N's POV

As I walked Jennie to the elevator, she mentioned there was some work left in her office that needed attention.

Sure thing,

I replied with a nod, understanding the situation. She assured me she'd be right back, and we could leave together later. It was a routine we often followed, supporting each other till the end of the day.

We reached her floor, and I accompanied her all the way to her office door. Jennie flashed a warm smile at me, appreciative of the gesture. Watching her disappear into her cabin, I turned around, ready to head back to my own tasks.

The familiarity of the Chanel lobby greeted me as I stepped out. It was a bustling place, yet there was a sense of calmness that enveloped the atmosphere. Taking a moment to breathe it in, I mentally prepared myself to dive back into my work.

As I walked back towards the elevator, I couldn't help but reflect on the camaraderie between Jennie and me. As I stepped into the elevator, my mind preoccupied with thoughts of work and Jennie's pending tasks, I was startled to find Ji Yong, Jennie's boyfriend, standing there. His smirk sent a shiver down my spine, a feeling I despised but couldn't shake off.

Hello again,

I greeted through gritted teeth, my tone strained with forced politeness.

Hey there,

Ji Yong replied casually, his smirk never faltering.

Funny meeting you.. for the second time..

I fought to keep my composure, swallowing the bitterness that threatened to spill forth.

Yes, quite a coincidence,

I retorted, my words dripping with sarcasm.

Why are you here?

I couldn't help but ask, my curiosity laced with suspicion. Ji Yong's smirk widened, and he leaned against the wall of the elevator with casual nonchalance.

Oh, just here for the shoot. Your wife, or should I say, my girlfriend, asked me to come.

The mention of Jennie as his girlfriend twisted my insides, but I managed to maintain a facade of calm.

Right..

I replied tersely, clenching my jaw to suppress the surge of anger. As Ji Yong's words pierced through the air, my heart sank like an anchor plunging into the depths of despair. The casualness with which he delivered the news only added insult to injury.
