Jennie's POV
As I entered my room, closing the door behind me, a wave of emotions flooded over me. I sank onto the bed, my fingers instinctively reaching for the drawer where I kept those treasured pictures. They were only two, but they held volumes of memories and questions.
I carefully pulled them out, my heart pounding as I gazed at each image. In one, Y/N and Rose were locked in an intimate gaze, their eyes speaking a language only they understood. In the other, they embraced tightly, radiating a bond that seemed unbreakable.
I couldn't shake the memory of the conversation I had with Rose, where I had mustered up the courage to ask her about the nature of her relationship with Y/N. Her response had been simple yet puzzling – they were just best friends, nothing more.
But did these pictures tell a different story?
Ji Yong's words echoed in my mind, a stark reminder of the doubts that had been gnawing at me.
You can betray Y/N if she is betraying on you.
It was a harsh truth to swallow, but it lingered, casting a shadow over everything I thought I knew. Confusion and hurt warred within me as I tried to make sense of it all.
Was I overthinking?
Were these just innocent moments captured in time?
Or was there something more, something hidden beneath the surface?
I couldn't deny the feeling of betrayal creeping in, fueled by uncertainty and the nagging suspicion that I might be the one left in the dark. As I stared at those pictures once more, I couldn't help but wonder
was I being played for a fool?
As I was lost in contemplation, the sudden intrusion of Ji Yong into my room startled me. My heart raced as I stood up, my eyes widening in surprise.
What are you doing here again?
I asked, my voice tinged with a mixture of irritation and apprehension. Ji Yong's expression was dark, his eyes blazing with anger.
I can't believe you were smiling and acting like everything was fine at that wedding,
he spat out, his voice laced with venom. I bristled at his accusatory tone, feeling a surge of defensiveness rise within me.
I was just trying to maintain appearances,
I countered, my voice firm but shaky. He scoffed, pacing back and forth in front of me.
You think I didn't notice? You looked happier there than you've ever been in your life,
he accused, his words cutting deep. I clenched my jaw, struggling to keep my emotions in check.
That's not fair, Ji Yong. You know how much I despise those events!!
I retorted, trying to deflect his scrutiny. But he wasn't finished. His gaze bore into mine with an intensity that made me squirm uncomfortably.
