Jennie's POV

As I stirred awake to the gentle warmth of morning light filtering through the curtains, I found myself enveloped in Y/N's embrace, her head nestled against the curve of my neck, her lips grazing my skin with each soft breath. Despite the ache in my body from the awkward positioning, I couldn't help but savor the intimacy of the moment, the closeness we shared in the quiet stillness of dawn.

Carefully, I shifted beneath her weight, mindful of her injured hand, which I cradled protectively to prevent any further discomfort. With a tender touch, I brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, marveling at the peaceful expression that graced her features in slumber.

As Y/N stirred in her sleep, I reluctantly extricated myself from her embrace, feeling an unexpected pang of longing as her warmth receded. Yet, I knew that duty called, and I couldn't afford to linger in the cocoon of our shared intimacy.

With a resigned sigh, I slipped out of bed, the coolness of the room a stark contrast to the warmth that still lingered on my skin from Y/N's touch. Tying my hair into a loose bun, I made my way to the kitchen, the rhythmic clatter of pots and pans serving as a soothing distraction from the tumult of emotions swirling within me.

As I prepared breakfast for us both, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon filling the air. Despite the uncertainties that loomed on the horizon, in this moment, surrounded by the comforting familiarity of our shared home, I allowed myself to believe that perhaps, just perhaps, there was hope for us yet.

As I finished preparing breakfast and set the table, the aroma of food filled the air, mingling with a sense of domestic tranquility. However, the peace was short-lived as I heard Y/N's pained whimper from the bedroom. Without hesitation, I hurried to her side, my heart racing with concern.

Y/N sat on the edge of the bed, cradling her wounded hand in her lap, her face contorted in discomfort.

As I knelt beside Y/N, concern gripping my heart like a vise, I couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt as she explained how she had accidentally applied pressure to her injured hand upon waking up.

Y/N, you need to be more careful!!

I chided gently, my voice laced with worry.

You can't afford to aggravate the injury.

Y/N nodded, her expression reflecting a mixture of remorse and understanding.

I know, Jennie,

she replied softly, her voice tinged with remorse.

I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking. I accidentally applied pressure on it.

My eyes darted to Y/N's hand, the sight of the bandaged wound making my heart clench with worry. I felt a surge of frustration at Y/N's carelessness, unable to shake off the fear of potential complications.

Is it still hurting?

I asked, my voice trembling with concern.

Should I call the doctor again?
