Part 2: Charlie

Too fixated on Lando, I remained standing in the distance, from where I could see him clearly. His touch last night kept coming back to me. When Lando noticed me, he stopped talking and winked at me. Without taking his eyes off me, he continued his interview. Luckily, I snapped out of my stupor and walked into Lewis' garage with my eyes downcast. There I was greeted warmly by his team.

'Amalia...' Lewis called me, standing at the back of the garage and putting on his racing gear.

"Yes?

"It's about mom..." he said.

My expression changed.

''She's worse...she'd love a call from you...'' Lewis added.

Looking down at the floor, my eyes glazed over.

'Lew...' his voice rang out.

My head lifted and I looked at him, who was wearing his flashy orange hoodie, as well as his backwards cap.

His eyes met mine, looking at my wet eyes. Without waiting any longer, I ran away and sat down in a quiet corner of the garage and continued reading my book. All I could hear in the background was the two of them talking. Lando found out about my mother because he had overheard our conversation.

"Lewis, that's none of Lando's business!" I said sourly to my brother when he told Lando about our mother's situation.

'But Amalia,' Lewis said.

"No! That's none of his business,' I said angrily.

Then I ran away. My safe place at that moment was Charles. When Charles saw me in his garage, he gave me a big hug.

'Thank you,' I said after the hug.

"What happened?" Charles asked me, wiping a few tears from my face.

When I didn't answer, he gave me a gentle kiss on the top of my head.

''You're welcome to stay here. If you need anything, ask my team,' Charles says gently.

'Thanks Charlie,' I say gently.

I sat down at the back of the Ferrari garage and got headphones to listen to the conversation on the radio. A while of training was over.

"Amalia, are you here?" Charles' voice rang out in my headphones.

'Of course,' I answered him over my headphones.

"Are you okay?

'Sure, Charlie,' I reply.

"You can flirt later, leclerc," Landos' annoyed voice rang out over the radio.

Then there was silence.

'Good training,' I say to Charles and hug him after the training is over.

"thank you''he says.

"I'm sorry, lew'' I said to my brother in a regretful voice and stood behind him in his garage.

''It's okay...maybe you were right too'' Lewis said and hugged me gently.

"About what?" his arrogant voice rang out.

I rolled my eyes as I saw his smug grin, leaning against the wall.

'Pretty girls don't roll their eyes,' he said arrogantly.

"Who asked you, Norris?" I ask, annoyed.

Lando winks at me.

'You're disgusting."I say.

'That's not how it looked last night,' he whispers in my ear, and I can feel his warm breath.

'I don't know what you're talking about,' I reply.

'It turns me on that you're not just up for grabs...' he whispers in my ear again.

When he stood in front of me again, he licked his lips.

"So you and Leclerc?" Lando's voice rang out again after I didn't react to his provocation.

'Jealousy suits you somehow...' I say, biting my lips.

"What jealousy?" he asked with a grin.

'If you only knew where Charles has touched me...' I whisper in his ear with a grin, lying.

Without waiting for his reaction, I moved away from him.

"Movie night?" Max asked the group after dinner at the accommodation.

Everyone agreed. We spread out on two different couches. I lay next to Charlie and Lewis. Lando was on the other couch. I lay comfortably with my head on Charles' chest. My cell phone vibrated during the movie.

Lando: "My chest is more comfortable"

Me: "No jealousy, huh?"

Lando: "I always get what I want, love"

Me: "but you don't get me"

Lando: "Who says I want you?"

I heard his arrogant grin in the background. Without answering, I put my cell phone away.

"Good night, sweetie," Charles kissed me on the head before we went to separate bedrooms.

I settled down next to Lewis.

"And have you thought about it?" Lewis asks me.

''I can't, Lew''

'But she needs you,' he argued.

'Have you forgotten what she did to me?

'No, of course not, Amalia...but she's going to die...'

My gaze drops. Lewis reaches for my hand.

'Good morning,' comes his voice as he approaches the breakfast table.

'This is Clara,' he adds.

My head quickly lifted. He seriously had sex yesterday. I looked at Lando coldly before lowering my head again.

"Jealous?" Lando whispers in my ear after the lady has left the house.

A shake of my head was my reaction. His gentle hands are placed under my chin.

'Look at me,' he demanded.

His fingers pushed my head up so that I looked into his eyes.

'What?' I asked him, annoyed, and took his fingers off my chin.

With a grin, he disappeared.

'I've fired up the hot tub for us,' Oscar informed the group after dinner.

The large hot tub in the garden gradually filled up. I also joined the others in the hot tub, wearing an inconspicuous bikini. I stood in front of the hot tub. Lando offered me his hand. But I got in alone. I heard his grin behind me. I found a seat next to Charles, which was exactly opposite Lando. His arms spread out and his upper body toned from top to bottom. When I noticed my own stare, all I could see was his arrogant smile. Charles puts his arm around me. I look at Lando with a provocative grin.

'Let's play a game. I've never played before,' Max suggested.

Everyone in the hot tub grabbed their drinks.

Lewis: 'I've never kissed the opposite sex'.

Everyone looks around. Only I'm drinking. Lando grins all the more.

'I've never dumped anyone before,' I say.

Lando drinks proudly. Charles, Max, Pierre, Lewis and I drink as well.

Lando: 'I've never had sex before,' he said with a grin.

Lando, Lewis, Pierre, Charles, Max and Oskar drink.

Lando looks at me in amazement.

Charles: ''I've never broken anyone's heart''
