After countless thoughts in the bathtub, I left it and wrapped my body in comfortable clothes. Walking over to my bedroom, I found Lando standing in front of my large window.
"Are you okay?" he asks me without moving an inch.
''What's wrong with you?'' I ask him and touch his hand as I stood behind him.
But he immediately turns away and doesn't even look at me.
"I made you some tea..." he says and looks over to my bedside cabinet.
I slowly lie down on my bed.
"Do you still have cramps?" he asks me.
"It's okay.." I lied.
His figure moved and settled next to me. He gently pulls me towards him so that I lie with my back against his chest.
"May I?" he whispered as his hands made their way to my pants again.
"Yes..." he whispers back.
He slowly loosens the waistband of my pants and his hand goes under my thong. I immediately feel warmth.
"Is it okay, dear?" he whispers as Lando uncovers the hair from my neck.
My gaze turns to him.
"Thank you..." I whisper.
Our eyes met again.
''Tell me what's wrong with you... lately...'' I whisper.
His fingers gently stroke my neck while his other hand warms my lower stomach.
''Please...'' I whisper again after his voice didn't sound.
His mouth opens, but before he could make a sound, the front door opens.
Amalia.. calls my brother.
His hand withdrew from my stomach and he quickly left my room. Lewis then entered my room.
,,are you all right? Lando said you weren't feeling well," he asked me worriedly, sitting down on the edge of my bed.
"I'm feeling better. Lando took good care of me," I say back.
"You guys get along better than before, huh?" Is there something going on between you again?'' Lewis asks skeptically.
,,what no? I promised you that there would never be anything between me and Lando again," I answer quickly, lying of course.
---------------
In the middle of the night there is a banging on the front door. Tired and unexpected, I open the door. But I can't quite place the person, who still seemed familiar to me.
"Excuse me, little one, but is Lando here?" the slightly older man asks me.
"Um, I don't think so, but who are they anyway?" I ask confused.
"I'm his father and we absolutely have to find him.." he answers quickly.
"Why?" I ask.
''He had a very bad argument with his mother and I think he didn't take it well and when he doesn't take things well he starts drinking..'' his father explains to me.
I immediately know what he means. Together we thought about where he could be. Minutes passed as we just drove through the darkness of Monaco to hopefully see him sitting somewhere. We found him at the port of Monaco. Drunk. Coldness immediately encompasses my body. His father helps him up.
"Dear..." he slurs to me.
Fear surrounded me. His father helped him into the car.
"Are you okay, little one?" his father asks me kindly.
''Yes...'' I say and wipe the tears from my face.
-----------------
Sitting on a chair, clutching my legs, I wait for Lando to wake up, who was lying in his old crib. I was still cold and flashbacks from my childhood were circling in my mind.
"Is he still not awake?" his father asks, standing in the doorway.
My scared eyes look at him.
''No...'' I say quietly.
"He scared you yesterday, didn't he?" he asks.
Nodding, I answer.
''Dad...what am I doing here?'' asks Lando, who wakes up and holds his head.
Only at second glance did he see that I was also present.
''Amalia..'' he says and recognized my fearful eyes.
"Dad...please give us a moment" he says while his eyes stay on mine.
Only when his father left the room did he move towards me. Our hands almost touch.
"Did I hurt you yesterday?" he asks in a regretful voice.
''No...'' I answer and place my cold hands on his cheeks.
"Thank God...I'm sorry..." he whispers and hangs his head.
''What do you mean?'' I ask and run my hands through his hair.
"I know how scared you are when you're around drunk people...forgive me...I promise it'll never happen again," he whispers, lifting his head again.
I put my hands on his cheeks again, with our knees touching.
''Tell me what was going on..'' I say gently.
"My mother said I was the reason she started drinking...she said she never wanted me and that I was the biggest mistake of her life..." he explains to me in a shaky voice.
I immediately hug him. His hands wrap around my hips.
"You are wonderful, no matter what this woman says." I whispered in his ear to calm him down.
His warmth left me after a few minutes.
Dear...you're totally cold...are you okay? Are you still having cramps?" he asks, slightly worried, as he holds my hand.
"I'm fine...but it's not about me right now" I say back with a gentle smile.
His hands, which are covered in veins, take off his sweater. He then gently covers my body with his warmed sweater.
"It will always be about you..." he whispers and pushes a strand of hair out of my face.
---------------
"Ah, here you are again. I was worried sick. Where were you?'' Lewis asks distraught when Lando and I entered the apartment together around midday.
Lando explained everything to him while I went upstairs and freshened up a bit. In front of my mirror, I gently touch my stomach over the scar.
"Does it hurt again?" comes his voice from behind me, who was standing there leaning against my door frame.
