"Sorry, Lew, I've got things to do," Lando said hastily and left the apartment instead of sitting down at the table to eat with us.

I gave him a funny look.

"Do you know what he's so funny about?" Lewis asked me as I sat down next to Maria.

I shrugged my shoulders in reply.

--------

"Amalia, Maria, come on," my brother shouted from downstairs.

Wearing my flip-flops and short summer clothes, I walk downstairs with Maria. Lewis was standing next to Lando, who I hadn't seen since our kiss. Next to him was a lady holding his hand.

"Who's that?" Maria asked.

I looked at Lando with a death stare, who avoided my gaze.

"This is Natalia, my companion for today," his voice rang out.

Without waiting for another word, I walk out of the apartment towards Lewis's car.

-----------

"Amalia..." came Charles' voice, hugging me gently as I stepped onto his yacht.

"Charlie..." I said and returned his hug.

I walked a few more steps to land on the sun deck of his yacht. There I undressed, applied sunscreen to protect my body from the dangerous sun and put on a cap. It filled up around me. Charles lay next to me, shirtless. Maria lay next to me on the other side. Lando and Natalie lay arm in arm diagonally from us. Over time, my body also settled into Charles' warm arms.

"That restaurant the other night was amazing," Charles said to me when our faces were only briefly in front of each other.

"I agree, we should do it again soon..." I replied and put my hand around his neck.

Charles' smile is impossible to miss. Our eyes meet for a few seconds.

"Let's jump into the sea now," Lando's voice distracted us.

My head turns to the voice. His jealous eyes met mine. With my body raised, I jumped into the cold water with Charles in a secluded corner of the open sea. After a fresh cool down, I climb back up the yacht with my wet body. My path led to the yacht's kitchen, where I took a glass from the cupboard.

"The bikini is driving me crazy..." a wet voice whispers on the back of my neck and grabs my hips from behind.

Startled, I turn around. I push Lando away from me.

"What do you want Norris? Natalie is surely waiting for you..." I say, visibly annoyed, and open the fridge.

"Jealousy turns me on, you know that..." his voice rang out again.

"Find another project..." I say, annoyed, and make myself a drink.

"Why should I?" he asked amusingly, still standing in front of me in his wet swimming trunks.

"Because I'm not going to play any more of your games," I breathed unkindly.

"But I don't see it that way..." he breathed back.

"I'm just not interested." I replied.

"Oh yes, it does."

"Why is she here?" I asked Lando, annoyed.

"I thought you didn't care..." he said with a grin.

"I can't have a proper conversation with you, Norris," I say, annoyed, grabbing my drink and leaving the kitchen.

A strong hand grabs mine. I show no relation.

"You're not a project," he whispers into my neck.

I walk away for good. I found a seat next to Charles again. Shortly afterwards, Lando joined us again on the sun deck.

"What's that?" Charles asked me, pointing to the drink in my hand.

"Lille, do you want a taste?" I ask him sweetly and turn my body towards him.

His warm hand finds a place on my thigh. His other hand reaches for the glass and takes a sip.

"That's delicious," he says, surprised.

---------

"Let's play truth or dare," Max suggested as we all sat around a campfire.

"Whoever the bottle points to has to choose between the two," Max added.

Lando grabbed the bottle and started spinning it. The tip landed on Charles, who was sitting next to me.

"Tell us about your kiss with Amalia and how your date went," Lando asked.

"What do you mean, bro?" Charles asked, confused.

My head lowered.

"amalia, don't you want to enlighten us?" his provocative voice rang out.

"ama...what does Lando mean?" Charles asked me quietly.

I stood up with my head down and walked away.

"Typical..." his voice rang out with a laugh.

Maria followed me into the house. We made ourselves comfortable in my bed upstairs.

"Maria...I have something to tell you..." I say to her.

-------

Knock knock

"Yes?"

"Amalia...can we talk for a moment?" came Charles' voice.

With my body raised, I stepped outside my room door, sitting opposite Charles.

"I'm sorry, Charles," I said dejectedly.

"I just want to know why? I thought we were always just friends. You're like a sister to me..." he said, confused.

"It was because of Norris, but I know we're just friends."

"What about Lando?" he asked, even more confused.

Swallowing, I stood in front of him.

"Oh, okay. Just take care of yourself," Charles said gently.

"I don't like him anyway," I defended myself.

--------

The sound of the pool drowns out my ears as my feet are refreshed in the pool.

"Has Madame become depressed?" his voice sounded behind me.

"Go away, Norris," I say in a bad mood.

I felt his warmth next to me as Lando took a seat next to me.

"Did Leclerc dump you a bit? Oh wait, no, he never wanted you," he said with a laugh.

"Fuck you, Norris," I say, annoyed, and I stand up.

His hand grabs my wrist.

"A bad habit of yours is always running away," he said to me.

I knocked his hand off my wrist.

"Thank you for exposing me," I said unkindly.

"Are you expecting an apology?" he asked with a grin.

"I just want you to leave me alone? Why aren't you upstairs satisfying Natalie?" I ask, annoyed.

"I sent her home," he replied.

His eyes met mine.

"Don't ever embarrass me like that again," I said indignantly.

"Or what, dear?" he asked amusingly.

"Or I'll tell Lewis that you kissed me," I said crossly.

His hands press me against the wall.

Warm fingertips run over my lips.
