Vampire Aves...
Katherine woke up thirsty in the midnight ,she got off her bed taking the candleholder.she opened the door quietly and went out of the room, it was still raining heavily.
Her bare feet padded on the marble floor as she descended the stairs, the wind blew putting out all the candles in the living room including the one Katherine was holding.
Scared, she ran to the kitchen but soon slowed down to avoid bumping into a wall, she held the wall and trailed it into the kitchen,she got there.
The kitchen will light up every second due to the lightning and Katherine used that as an opportunity to grab the glass cup, she was about to take water when another lightning striked and Katie caught a glimpse of a person.
All bones,with empty and hollow socket, the creature stared at her, the glass fell from her hand making no noise whatsoever, and it went dark again.
Katherine stuck to a wall in the kitchen taking deep shaky breaths.
"I am dreaming again" she mumbled to herself shaking her head.
She closed her eyes "it is a dream" she repeated and started making her way out of the kitchen.
Thirst, long forgotten....
She took tentative steps out of the kitchen eyes still closed as she held the wall.
She kept mumbling to herself, she stopped when she bumped into something in the hallway, her eyes snapped open to see it more clearly.
It was a creature with with no skin or flesh just bones,
it wore a dirty ragged hood that was sweeping the floor,it had no eyes except empty sockets that made it look more eerie.
it held a weapon in it's hand ,it was a long wooden stick with a sharp curved metal blade at the top.
Katherine screamed and woke up.
Breathing heavily she looked around the room her hand grasping the necklace around her neck.
A knock on the door made her flinch greatly "c-come in" she stuttered out and Silvia opened the door "Good morning, Katherine" Silvia greeted with a smile and Katherine smiled back at her.
"Good morning" she said "Are you alright?" Silvia asked moving close to the shaken 17 year old "I am fine, I just had a nightmare" she gave a convincing smile and Silvia nodded patting her hair.
"Lady Uriel, wants you to come down for breakfast" she said and Katherine nodded then pulled the covers away from herself "I will be there" She said and Silvia left her alone.
Katherine went into the bathroom,and stood in front of the full length mirror after taking off her clothes her hair was down too,she stared at her own reflection blankly for a while before taking her bath.
she picked a dress in the wardrobe. she wore a peach colored floral dress that hugged her small waist perfectly then flowed the floor from her waist, she brushed her hair and rolled it up.
She was going to meet Uriel later to help style it. She went down the stairs and was greeted by couple of servants which she replied politely."Good morning" Katherine greeted joining the table Isabella was present and Uriel too.
...So was Alex father, he only stared at Katherine without a word , Katherine has never shared a word with the man.
"Good morning" Uriel and Isabella replied, Katherine sat down as food was served and they started to eat in a slightly less than comfortable silence.
Allan(Alex's father) left the table after eating and Uriel's eyes followed him as he left, she did not make a sound they ate and then Uriel helped with Katherine's hair.
Katherine sat down outside with Uriel while the older woman styled her. She ran her hand through the luscious silky black hair, that was way too long now.
She smiled to herself thinking how much this human girl resembled her late friend though her friend had long silver hair that touched the ground when she let it down .
She brushed the hair with great care "I assume Isabella told you ,that Alex will be back in a few days" Uriel said and Katherine mumbled.
"Yes,she did" " He has been on his way for about three weeks....I assume,the storm will delay his arrival" Uriel said "how far is the academy?" Katherine asked..
Uriel thought for a while "I have not been there but I assume it will take about a month to get there from here, which is why I assume he should have been on his way for weeks now,
"A friend of mine said her son wrote a letter saying they will be back during the storm" she explained and Katherine nodded in understanding.
Katherine went to Isabella's room to just talk with her. She saw her sitting looking into distance "Are you alright?" She asked and Isa stared at her with a weak smile.
"Yes...I am just wondering" she said as Katherine sat on the bed "wondering what?" Katherine asked
"Why father is acting this way,mother is not happy" she said "it has been over 8 years, I can not remember the last time I had a conversation with him" she said her eyes burning with tears.
"He would not even tell us what is wrong" she said and Katherine kept quiet listening to Isabella.
"Do not cry,he might have a reason for all this " Katherine said putting her hand on Isabella's shoulder.
"Whatever his reason might be, he should not put his wife and children in the dark" she said bitterly "I despise him for this" she added.
Katherine did not know what to say she only comforted her whispering sweet nothings to her.
At night...
Katherine left Isabella's room to go to her own room. She took her bath and changed into her night dress, she lied down on her back staring at the ceiling.
"Alex really is coming back in a few days " she thought with a fond smile. she turned to her side and slept off with a small smile.

The wind got heavier around midnight and Katherine woke up ,when she heard something fall ,the wind made the candleholder fall to the ground,it broke.
She got out of bed realizing she forgot to shut the window she quickly shut the window,the room was dark now she yawned and went down to get another candleholder.
The candles in the living room was still lit ,she made her way into the kitchen.
She got to the kitchen, the candleholders were kept in the topmost cupboard in the kitchen she sighed and she stood on her toes and stretched to reach it but her height betrayed her.
She grumbled a bit before going out to the living room to get a small stool ,she went back into the kitchen and put down the stool adjusting it when she heard a voice that seem vaguely familiar.
"What are you doing?" She heard a male voice it she immediately assumed it was one of the butlers.
She stopped adjusting the stool and took a step back staring up at the cupboard "I am trying to get a candleholder" she replied not turning to look at the butler.
"Would you help me?" She asked still looking up wondering why she could not have been a little bit taller "I refuse" the butler said and Katherine frowned a bit.
"You refuse?-" she turned ever so slowly and paused to stare at the "butler" she took a step back in slight shock and he took a step forward with his hands behind him..
"Hello, Katherine" Alex said....
