Vampire Aves

Katherine's POV

There was a very awkward silence in the carriage after Alex made that statement..... I might be overthinking. I got out of the carriage,Alex got out as well .I breathed out and watched the freezing air escaped my lip ,I could not wait to go back into the warmth of the mansion.

Alex walked behind me as I rushed into the mansion, the wind blew heavily but was soon shut out when the mansion's door shut behind Alex, mother approached me looking worriedly at my face "Katie are you alright? You seem.....blue ? mother started feeling My forehead to check if I was burning up ,i held her hands away from my head " i am fine , mother,I do feel a little cold" i said rubbing my shoulders.

I saw mother smile widely,as she caressed my face slightly "you must be starved, go tell the maids to prepare food for you to eat" she said still smiling,I wondered why she became happier all of a sudden,i nodded heading towards the kitchen.

Alex that was waiting patiently while his mother showered Katherine with affection. She watched Katherine leave and smiled widely facing Alex .Alex raised a brow in confusion. "Did you not notice?" She asked moving to seat on one of the sofas , Alex did not reply and Uriel's smile returned " Katherine addressed me as 'Mother' for the first time" she said with a slightly faltered smile .

Alex stared blankly wondering why that made her so happy.... He moved to sit with his mother "How was your meeting with the council head?" She asked changing the topic "it was alright, mother " he said " I got into the council" he added and she beamed again "that is marvelous, Alex... congratulations " she pulled him into a hug and he froze up . which went unnoticed by her "your father would have been so proud",she pulled back from the hug.Alex stared at his mother

"Did I inform you that Isabella's fiance will be coming over tomorrow?" She asked " I am aware " he spoke... She looked down her hair covering her face slightly, Uriel is a very pretty lady ,she could be easily mistaken as Alex sister,a younger sister even ,although she is over a century old .

"Am I making the right decision by making Isabella Marry a werewolf?" She suddenly asked Alex, ...not knowing what to say Alex remained quiet "your father seems to have no problems with it " she raised her head to stare into distance"which is quite odd , considering he always said he wanted nothing to do with them" she added with a small frown, Uriel knew speaking to Alex is the same as speaking to a wall but she needed someone to speak to.

"But...as long as she is happy" she added with a small smile and got up she patted Alex hair and walked to her room ,Alex watched his mother leave. He leaned back staring at nothing in particular.

He was broken out of his trance when Katherine came back with a cup of warm blood tea in her hand ,his nose tingled at the sweet scent of the blood,he had left home in the morning without taking anything." Where is mother?" She asked "she left for her room"he said and Katherine heads towards Uriel's room .

"Mother ~i brought you tea" she said in a sing song voice and Alex watched her leave, he thought she had brought the tea for him ....

The De'vera's mansion prepared to have their guests,after the preparations were done, leaving only the food that was going to be cooked tomorrow,the maids head to the servant headquarters, everyone called it a night.

Isabella was the most excited in her room, she could not fall asleep,her dreams were finally coming true she will marry the one she loves.

Alex lied on his back one arm over his eye and the other across his stomach although he was awake .he had ordered the maid to get him blood tea a while ago.
