Vampire Aves

"Poison?" Katherine asked " the enchanted grass to be specific" Isabella said finger grazing over her mother's skin, those words sounded familiar to Katherine,she heard Alex mention it when he was studying for his exams.

"Only witches have it ....well,are supposed to have it " she mumbled "do you mean...." Katherine trailed off "yes, someone poisoned mother " she said , Katherine let out a shaky breath her eye
unfocused "Are you alright?" Isabella asked "i-i am alright" .

Moments later...

The council members arrived ,all the occupants of the mansion we were in the living room,some council men were in Uriel's room examining her body .
"Good day, everyone" Katherine was standing next to Isabella while Alex stood away from the others ,Alex's father stood with the council members

"We have come to ask a few questions about the passing of Mrs De'vera,we hope that you can provide answers to the question asked" the councilwoman spoke and the servants mumbled amongst themselves.

"What was the last thing , Mrs De'vera consumed?" One of the council men asked "tea" one of the maids replied."made by who?" The same man asked "I-i made the tea ,sire" the maid spoke the council woman made notes
"She-she requested for b-blood tea after dinner,I-i took it to her room....but i promise there was nothing in the tea!" The maid cried as the attention was on her.

Katherine watched the maid wail and she stared at the floor. An action that did not go unnoticed by Alex . "Do not be afraid...are you the only one that made contact with the tea?" The councilman asked and the maid nodded frantically "no-one else touched it,I took straight into lady Uriel's room ,she was nothing but good to me I would never try to murder her!" the maid cried hysterically and the others stared at her in pity .

"What is your name?"one of the council members asked "c-clara" she replied "alright Clara,you will come with us for more questioning" the man said "n-no ,i did not- " she was taken out the mansion. She could be heard yelling as she was taken outside.

The other maids were dismissed. Alex eyes never left Katherine. "We are sorry for your loss, we hope her soul rests in peace " the council members said before leaving.

Katherine also left and went up to Alex room. She closed the door behind before taking few steps back she kept fiddling with her fingers while pacing back and forth.

"I...I am.." she mumbled

"What is the matter?" She heard a voice and yelped,it was Alex ,she did not hear him come in "w-what?" She asked "why do you seem nervous,Katherine" he asked as he leaned his back on the wall watching her intensely.

"I-i am not nervous" she avoided his eye

Alex walked closer untill he was standing right in front of here "do not lie to me, kitten" he said in a husky tone,she pushed him back lightly also taking few steps back before speaking.

"I am not lying" "then look at me "...

After a few moments of silence she looked up at him her eyes still slightly red from the tears she shed earlier.
She kept her eyes on his chest .

Alex frowned a bit "what are you hiding Katherine" he spoke harshly moving to her at an impossible speed .

He is annoyed, Katherine kept staring at the floor her eyes started to water "I -i do not-" he gently raised her chin with his finger. She stared at him tears slipping down the side of her eye ,she felt scared because his eyes held that odd ,glowy color again.

"What are you hiding?" He asked in a calmer tone "nothing,I am not hiding anything" she replied,he stared at her his eyes bore deeply into hers ,her heart was beating fast ,she was certain he could hear it.
