Katie's POV.

Many days passed and I grew sicker and highly irritable. Nothing out of the blue happened, things were going well.

Alex is mostly home now, except sometimes when he has to attend the council meetings. I spent most times with Isabella and Tristan when Alex is not home.

Alex's father, since that incident, barely stayed home anymore, he will go out early in the morning and get back late at night, it was like he was avoiding the whole of the family but nobody was complaining.

I was pacing in the bedroom with Alex lying on the bed watching me move around. He has asked "are you alright?" Four times but I have ignored him.

"Are you alright?" I glared at him when he spoke again, I told him to stop telling me I smelt different, Isabella said it too, even Silvia said it. Alex asked to call the physician but I immediately turned down the offer.

I am fine. and I do not smell different.

"Stop talking to me" I snapped.

He stared at me without a word. "I am taking a walk" he muttered and got up grabbing a coat.

I turned to him when he was heading for the door. "Of course, go, run away from your problems" I spoke as he shut the door.

I sat on the bed with a huff .Then I decided to take a nap.

When I woke up, Alex was still not back and it was almost nighttime. I felt slight panic as I got up and made my way downstairs, I did not see him, I went up to Isabella's room..

"Oh, hello Katherine" she spoke over Tristan's crying noises. "Is he is okay?" I asked motioning to Tristan that was fussing in her arms.

"He did not want to take a bath" she sighed, looking tired. I smiled a bit as she put him to lie on the bed.

"Is there something wrong?" She spoke grabbing his clothes.
"I was just wondering if you have seen Alex, he went out for a walk in the early afternoon and he is not back" I explained.

"Oh....maybe he is just taking his time" she said focusing on dressing Tristan.

"Yes, but I might have made him angry" i muttered and she chuckled.

"I can go check on him, just stay here with-" I cut her off.

"No, you stay...I will go check him" I said.

"Hm.... alright, be careful, do no go too far, alright?" She spoke and I nodded.

I made my way outside.

"Alex?!" I yelled for him, when he takes walks he is usually just going to stay with Trevor. But he was not there, Trevor was asleep and it seems like he was never even here.

I had a very bad feeling. I held up my dress as I walked. Did he decide he has had enough of me and he left?.

He can not leave... right?..

I heard a snap behind me. "Alex?" I called.

"Alex?" I repeated and I felt a hand over my nose and mouth. I struggled to set myself free but soon I was falling into the darkness.

Alex left the mansion to go out on a walk, Instead of going to his usual spot, he walked further into the forest.

He needed to think, Katherine was acting weird and he did not know why and that bothered him.

His hands were in his pocket as he took long strides, branches snapping once his shoes touches them.
